Welcome to Wikipedia!!!

[edit]
Hello Homersimpson742! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. If you decide that you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Below are some recommended guidelines to facilitate your involvement. Happy Editing! --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  18:13, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop blanking

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GrimRepr39 18:01, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GrimRepr39 18:21, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User pages

[edit]

Please read our Wikipedia:User page policy. User and user talk pages are not free webspaces in which you can use to say anything you want. They are there to help you communicate with our Wikipedia editors, not for blogging. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  18:13, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'll stop.

Your RfA attempt

[edit]

I have removed your attempt at an RfA since you did not create an RfA, only added a link to the non-existent article to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. Please read the clear instructions before attempting to create an RfA. The process is quite simple and showing you can understand and follow it is necessary if you were to become an admin. That said there is no chance that your RfA would be successful at this time. To be successful, a candidate would usually need at least 2500 edits over 3-4 months and show a full understanding of Wikipedia policy. You have fewer than 50 edits and have a history of vandalism and other issues. If you are serious about becoming an admin, I suggest you spend some time learning about Wikipedia then apply for an editor review in a few months to see if you are ready for an RfA. Best, Gwernol 16:53, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for vandalism

[edit]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and other deliberate attempts to disrupt Wikipedia are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. Gwernol 05:06, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Stick RPG

[edit]

Stick RPG, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Stick RPG satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stick RPG and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Stick RPG during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. ARendedWinter 22:13, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Stick RPG 2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Stick RPG 2. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 04:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Glad to help.  :) Take a look at the article now. See how it's formatted and toned? Keeping it serious and adding verifiable references are good ways to make sure that articles don't get deleted. I'm happy that you're happy and I hope you'll continue to contribute. --PMDrive1061 05:04, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you! I saw the smile on the article talk page. Sorry you had to get off on such a shaky start, but that happens sometimes until folks learn the ropes. I'll leave it up to you to take a look at similar game-related articles on this site so that you can add details like taxoboxes, screen shots, etc. Have fun! --PMDrive1061 05:15, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We've been scuttled, lad. Had I known this was previously deleted material, I never would have tried to recreate it. See what I mean by going here. You gave it your best shot but don't give up. --PMDrive1061 05:20, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not much either of us can do, I'm afraid. What I didn't know was the fact that the article had been deleted a bunch of other times before as a sort of "crystal ball" article. There hasn't been any substantial progress on the part of the programmers to get this game up and running. If you click on the link I left in my last message, you'll see what I mean. The administrator who deleted the article is one of the best and he wouldn't have done so without good reason. Ironically, his screen name is Simpsons-related as well: "Can't sleep, clown will eat me!" Like I said, don't give up, find a subject and start writing. I wouldn't write about the game just yet since there isn't much to write about anyway. Good luck! --PMDrive1061 05:29, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Attaboy. Keep on keepin' on.  :) --PMDrive1061 05:32, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • LOL! Well, I am logged on and I get a new message flag whenever you leave word, so yeah, I guess I do respond quickly! Thanks much for the smile. Means a lot to someone like me who burned out on this site a long time ago and who's giving it another try. --PMDrive1061 05:39, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 05:43, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Bots. Gotta love 'em. One of the users who drove me nuts hasn't edited in more than six months. Good thing, too. This site has some really bad attitudes, but there are a lot of good ones. Gotta run; have fun. --PMDrive1061 05:45, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boxhead the Rooms

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Boxhead the Rooms, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. AfD nomination of Boxhead the Rooms

[edit]

I have nominated Boxhead the Rooms, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boxhead the Rooms. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi. I appreciate that you made some efforts to paraphrase the text on Noonday Camp so it would no longer be a copyright infringement. Unfortunately, adding synonyms and minor alterations in the sentences won't relieve the plagiarism issue. As it is currently written, the text will need to be deleted as a copyright violation. You are welcome to rewrite the text using original language. The page on WP:Close paraphrasing can provide you with some explanations and help. In the long run, it is always better to simply write the text from scratch using your own words. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Regards. Theleftorium 10:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
