Dates and stuff

Hello! Thank you for your edits. I really really wouldn't change date formats like this without being very, very certain it was a great idea, and even then only after counting to 100 and going out for a nice walk round the block before donning flameproof underwear, etc! Likewise, I would steer well clear of spelling corrections like center > centre or colour > color unless absolutely sure I was on solid ground! Otherwise the pain is sometimes not worth it.
