Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 01:00, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hi and thanks for your message on my talk page. The reason I reverted your edits is because it appears that you added links to your own website and wikipedia has a fairly strict conflict of interest policy. If you feel there are valid reasons for the links to be included on those pages that is fine, as it says above, you should go to the talk page of those articles and suggest them there. Then someone who does not have a conflict of interest can add them to the article. Also when you leave a message on a talk page, please remember to "sign" it by including four tildes (this symbol ~) at the end which will automatically add your username, a timestamp and a link to your talk page. Thanks, Melcous (talk) 04:22, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- I guess I am still learning my way around Wikipedia so hopefully I am doing this right (I thought I added the Duchtel 16:46, 6 July 2016 (UTC)). I will go to the talk page and suggest it. That is probably also how the "JavaScript Calibrated Airspeed calculator from True Airspeed and other variables at luizmonteiro.com" reference got added. Duchtel 16:46, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
