[edit]- Before beginning the course LIBR 2100, my observations on wikipedia were all positive, where i did not have idea on people editing others work. However, taking the course LIBR 2100 and doing the training that required, i have found out that wikipedia is not a reliable source to be used on work such as, assignments; due to the editing that people can make. This makes one article with hundreds of peoples thoughts on the article.
- Second observation on Wikipedia that i thought before taking the course LIBR 2100 was the citations used on the articles. Going to an article with lots of citation made me think that the article is perfectly fine, however, after taking the training course on Wikipedia; i now know that many of the citations are not reliable for the text used in the article.
- Third observation on Wikipedia which the training focused more on was picking the right article to edit. This means articles with low citations, as well as, less writing on the articles. This makes the article best in using, due to the many citation you could add, as well as, the writing that could be included in the text.
- Last observation on the course LIBR 2100 (Wikipedia), will make my research on articles, as well as, citing the right information for the right text easier, and more professional.
