Hi, I was wondering about the range map shown at the Podophyllum peltatum page which appears to be your contribution. It seems to extend much farther south in Florida than what is shown in other sources. In particular, The USDA plant database shows it existing in only Jackson county while the citizen science website, iNaturalist, shows a southernmost sighting in Tallahasee. I'm curious as to where your shared information comes from?
Thanks in advance, Cosmicaug (talk) 03:48, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for messaging me! To make these range maps I typically use BONAP and the USDA for the U.S. However Florida is definitely wrong, as well as Texas. I will remove this from the page soon, but I am not sure why I added those areas to the map. I will make an updated version as soon as I have available time.
- Thank you again, Historynerd2 (talk) 01:27, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
