Question from HistoryLoverMe (16:53, 3 September 2024)

Hello- How do you insert images --HistoryLoverMe (talk) 16:53, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

@HistoryLoverMe:
To insert images on Wikipedia, follow these steps:
1. Upload the image: Go to Wikimedia Commons and upload your image. Ensure it meets the copyright requirements.
2. Get the image URL: After uploading, copy the image's file name or URL.
3. Edit the Wikipedia page: Click on the "Edit" button of the page where you want to add the image.
4. Insert the image: Use the syntax [[File:ImageName.jpg|thumb|Caption]] to insert the image, replacing "ImageName.jpg" with your file name and adding a caption if desired.
5. Save changes: Preview your edits and then save the page.
Make sure to follow Wikipedia's guidelines for image use and attribution.
