Society of Jesus

[edit]

Your alteration, regarding Franciscans, neglects the TORs, and the other T.O. Franciscan branches (Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn, Capuchins of the Renewal, Franciscan brothers of the Good Shepherd, etc. etc., etc.) -- the OFM, Caps and Convs are just the First Order.HarvardOxon 01:57, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

note on disambig page edit

[edit]

Over at EV you just added a line that has no link. The disambiguation pages are intended to be used primarily for navigation, and so should only contain linked entires (see MOS:DAB). Is there a link that would work on that line? i.e. a link to a page that contains information on Episcopal Vicars? Pdbailey (talk) 23:10, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Warlocks

[edit]

Hi, I've just reverted your edits at Warlock again. If you feel that your edits should go in the article, you need to respond to my comments rather than just re-add without explanation. The two places you should normally be checking for comments are (first) in the history page, and (second) on the talk page.

The reason I removed your addition is that we used to have a very bloated "popular culture" section that was just accumulating more and more pop references, and we trimmed it right down to a minimal set of illustrative examples. We may not have the best examples, and we could consider exchanging some of the existing examples for better ones, but we don't want the section to arbitrarily grow.

Basically what's of interest to the article is 'what is a warlock', and 'what is the popular conception of a warlock'. The article's purpose is not to catalogue individual instances of warlocks, either historical or fictional. Fuzzypeg 01:33, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Belated thanks for your poem on Fr. Fick

[edit]

I attended the Josephinum from Fall 69 to June 71 and Fr. Fick was the most inspired and gifted teacher of English and writing I ever had. I started the article on him as the one and only tribute to this great human being that I could think of. Fick turned my illegible scratches into coherent English, one red pen stroke at a time and I will be forever greatful to his contribution to my education. Is that poem actually at PCJ, some place? How did YOU know him? or is this Michael Olivas who helped me get the original article up there? Thanks Keith Simon SimonATL (talk) 15:07, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
