DS Alert

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Just a formality, since you're active in this area and don't appear to have been notified. –dlthewave 01:48, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Thanks. Active in what area? --hippo43 (talk) 02:04, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
BLPs, specifically Emma Sulkowicz and related articles. –dlthewave 03:01, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

3RR

Hey, you've exceeded 3RR on Emma Sulkowicz. I'm gonna recommend you self-revert. PeterTheFourth (talk) 01:47, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Thanks. The discussion at the talk page hasn't been productive, so I've removed the contentious sentence from the article per BLP. --hippo43 (talk) 02:16, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
@Hippo43: That... isn't a self revert. Would you please actually self revert? I don't want to take this to the edit warring place. PeterTheFourth (talk) 02:28, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 weeks for edit warring, as you did at Emma Sulkowicz. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  AGK ■ 15:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
This was further to the complaint brought to WP:AN3 against you. I was troubled by your long block history for edit warring. After your block is released, you really must take care not to revert so readily. AGK ■ 15:57, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
