Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from President of India into List of presidents of India. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — 🎄 Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:56, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock discussion

[edit]

Welp, I guess we should start with a checkuser needed.

Please describe what you did to merit a block and what you will do differently. Please describe what constructive edits you would make.Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 00:14, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deepfriedokra, this account is globally locked so he is not able to answer you. Not seeing a UTRS request...where is the unblock request? Also note that this account has been independently blocked on four wikis prior to the lock...see this.

@Berean Hunter: That's peculiar. This was carried over from elsewhere by an anon. I'll try to find my original post. I assume I left it on one of the socks' talks.Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 17:58, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Berean Hunter and Deepfriedokra: this message was actually posted by an IP that is associated with this account, they seem to have copied it from here. Emk9 (talk) 17:59, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Emk9 and Deepfriedokra: Ah, I see. Thank you both.
