Invite to CLINMED et al.

[edit]

I've noticed that you've been editing medicine related articles -- from your contributions. We have a place where the medically minded people hang out: WikiProject "Clinical Medicine" (WP:CLINMED). You are invited to join or just browse the talk page, which is also known as the doctors' mess.

If your interests are in nephrology, pathology, GI or pre-clinical medicine-- there are projects specifically for those things.

If you're looking for info on how to do references in Wikipedia (for medical articles) see: WP:MEDMOS. I look forward to more of your edits. Nephron  T|C 00:16, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source for Image:TonyB.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TonyB.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:44, 28 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 11:44, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article National patrimony has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. smithers - talk 17:10, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Great work on Katherine "Kate" Stoneman. Thanks for improving Wikipedia! wctaiwan (talk) 12:16, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bob--I actually did use the preview but assumed that there was a time lag or something and figured I'd leave it and check back later. The problem was that I'd used the full URL (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/34/Mmr_rexn.JPG), but apparently you only need the file name itself (Mmr_rexn.JPG) when the file is on the commons. Looks like it's working now anyway! Thanks for flagging.--Heykerriann (talk) 14:34, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I reverted your edit because the image code didn't seem to be working and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Feel free to have another go - I recommend using the "show preview" to make sure it's working as intended. (Though I usually forget to do that myself...) --GenericBob (talk) 21:20, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More sourcing needed at Draft:Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

[edit]

Hello, your draft Draft:Lemuel Shattuck Hospital could be way stronger with more sourcing. I took a 2-minute squint at GoogleBooks and found a citeable source explaining who the building is named after. Then another 15 seconds to drop it into the tool at http://reftag.appspot.com

I recommend you do the same thing, peruse GoogleBooks a little so see what interesting studies or new programs the hospital is known for. A brief look says some interesting research about pill abuse, and about acupuncture, were done there that made national-level news or academic works.

Take a look around for a bit, add a few more interesting facts and use Reftag to easily turn the GoogleBooks link into a full footnote. If you can do that, it'll make it way easier to pass this article, which was really undersourced before a few of us came in to add to it. Just citing the hospital itself, or the institution above it, just doesn't give us the neutrality/objectivity we need, and gets us too stuck in routine administrative stuff like mission statements rather than the interesting events and facts that journalists and researchers have noticed about the place. Hi! I just noticed that a redirect I created in 2019 had become a full-fledged article. Thanks for writing it! Schazjmd (talk) 20:48, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
