Sock-puppetry Investigations
[edit]Hello, I would like to know how you came to know my investigation request of Alfasxp07 account? I am kind of surprised. --Biglobster (talk) 13:02, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
It is ok to ask. I was curious about Deluxpizzatopping after he commented on the talk page, so I checked his contributions log. I discovered that he notified everyone about the investigations so I checked the link. Leading me to the site. I was recently suspicious about the two editors who came in roughly at the same time to comment against us with a disagreement to our change to the lead so I brought the name up. - I believe that article is flooded by sock puppets now. This is a closed case[1] if you would be interested, and I believe it's just the tip of the whole iceberg. --Biglobster (talk) 13:27, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- I see, one has been caught. More to go though. Judging from the case you just showed me, I now actually suspect Fred Tham to be the puppet master of the two recent "editors". He stopped replying us for a few days, and now that Jeanlepetit is disabled, he would need a new puppet or puppets. Hethokrilliondata (talk) 13:57, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Copy-editing
[edit]Excuse me, are you available for copy-editing? URDNEXT (talk) 15:54, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Excuse me too! What do you mean by that? I might be able to help. Hethokrilliondata (talk) 13:23, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Please help me out vs. deletionist approach on a Thai stub
[edit]Hi there! I found your name among Active members of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Thailand. Could you help me out in defending the notability of M-150 (energy drink) as an admin is apparently unhappy with its notability despite the sources I have provided to try to save the article. Any Thai source you could provide would also really help and maybe induce some people to modify their deletionist editing bias. I quit Wikipedia for years as I was spending more time defending legitimate edits from rule extremists than contributing legitimate edits. I hope you can take a minute or two to help me out on this. Thanks!! Rdavout (talk) 19:27, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I apologize, I am not good with energy drinks, so I really do not know any Thai sources that may defend it. Hethokrilliondata (talk) 13:48, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:49, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
