Hi Anish. First off, my sympathies- didn't realize until I dug up the obit article that you were his grandson :)
I noticed your request on the WP:SL page for someone to have a look through the article. While I'm certainly not a pro at this, I did go through it and made some changes. I don't know if you'll agree with them all, but there was some stuff in there that aren't really encyclopaedic- things like "he was a devout Catholic", for instance, aren't really things you can support even with third party literature, for obvious reasons. Stuff that was borderline I left in with a bit of rewording (I thought it'd be a shame to remove that bit about his interest in teaching after retirement, for instance). I also moved some inline citations around- while some folks on here like their citations directly after each statement, regardless of whether or not it's in the middle of a sentence, there were some places where it was pretty difficult to read the actual text because multiple citations would break up the text. I also added one reference for the family bit at the end, but that anecdote about the riots will definitely need citations from somewhere to stay in, I think, since it's a quote.
All in all, I hope you like the result :) - ක - (talk) 12:49, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Wow. First, I'd like to say thanks - ක -! Just in case you can't find this I have given the link on your talk page.
Yes, I believe that there might be more reliable sources coming out soon, so I can reference that at a later date - thanks very much for pointing out and correcting the errors :). Regards - Heptanitrocubane (talk) 13:27, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- No worries :D - ක - (talk) 15:19, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Tamil translation/transliteration
Hey again Anish. Quick question- can you read and write Tamil to any decent degree? I've been noticing that a lot of Sri Lanka pages have only Sinhala translations of names in the intro/infobox areas, or they have the Tamil translation but not the English pronunciation of the Tamil name. If you can help out, let me know. - ක - (talk) 06:36, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry User:Jesuschristonacamel - I am afraid I can't help as I am only a learner at Tamil. However, I have access to people who are fluent so I could help that way...If there is another way I could help you/get hold of others in WikiProject Sri Lanka/Tamil Civilisation please let me know. Best regards - Heptanitrocubane (talk) 09:20, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- If you do know anyone over at the Tamil wikiproject who can get in touch with me, that'd be great. They'd basically just have to translate/transliterate stuff into - and out of- Sri Lankan Tamil. - ක - (talk) 09:25, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
The Tamil project is inactive - I know a user called User:Rehman(An administrator) who I think judging by his userboxes has a level of proficiency in Tamil so might be able to help. I will introduce you on his talk page. Hope this helps - Heptanitrocubane (talk) 14:04, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi both. Sorry, I can only understand a very basic level of spoken Tamil. :( Rehman 05:37, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

You removed inline clean up tags from Valentine Joseph, claiming that they were reliable sources. Before you continue please read WP:RS to see what qualifies as reliable. Blogs and alumni associations are not reliable. You are in violation of WP:V, one of Wikipedia's core content policies. But as you are new I will give you the benefit of doubt and hope that you learn how Wikipedia works.--Obi2canibe (talk) 18:37, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made changes to articles Albert Einstein and Valentine Joseph, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - DVdm (talk) 17:29, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
Note: for these edits ([1], [2]) you need an explicit wp:secondary source that states that Einstein influenced Joseph. Also please note that your edit summary "2017 source edit" is inappropriate--see Help:Edit summary. - DVdm (talk) 17:36, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
NoteThis issue has been sorted out on DVdm's talk page and the article.:)

Hello Obi. I am sorry if you thought I was being "childish", but I did not mean to make "malicious edits". I just thought due to some statements like "Members of underworld criminal gangs then joined in." that are unsourced, there should be a refimprove template, as that statement is not from the Background section (which has a refimprove section template). 18:14, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
