Pacific Islands Forum template
[edit]I see you have added this template to many of the countries which belong to this forum. Many countries belong to a very large number of international organisations, and their articles end up with very many such templates, which I do not consider beneficial to most readers. Would you consider moving the template to "Foreign relations of <countryname>" articles instead of "<countryname>", where such an article exists?-gadfium 09:07, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- This way? Henning Blatt 15:28, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- That looks good to me.-gadfium 05:13, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Multiple navigational templates design
[edit]Hi Henning. I left a message for you at Wikipedia_talk:Navigational_templates#Multiple_navigational_templates_design. I offer my assistance to code combined navboxes. You can respond here or on that page I linked to since I put all pages on watch where I edit. No need to answer on my personal talkpage. --David Göthberg 17:56, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Philip Akin
Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum
[edit]Hello, Henning Blatt, I noticed you removed the Johnson Honimae attribution of the press release, in the Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum article, from the reference establishing the new Secretary General's official starting date. I followed your lead and did the same for the Pacific Islands Forum article which includes the same list of Secretaries General, only I replaced the author name with "Unattributed" Newportm (talk) 14:37, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, great! Thanks! Henning Blatt (talk) 18:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Hello, Henning. Thank you for your comments at Talk:International Parliament for Safety and Peace. They were very helpful. I have changed the article and explained my edits on the talk page. I hope that you find time to contribute to the discussion at the talk page and/or the article itself. Best regards, gidonb (talk) 10:47, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
I see you were previously involved in a discussion with User:Alinor on who should be listed as the UN "related organizations". This issue has been revisited here, here and here. Since you were previously involved in this dispute, I thought that you should be notified that it has been reignited . TDL (talk) 23:55, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks indeed for bringing this to my attention. But I am afraid I don't have the time to follow that discussion or even participate in it any longer. I mean, every word here is taken literally, and since I am not a native speaker, these discussions are really time consuming for me. I'd suggest that users consult a reliable source (eg this or this) and do not painstakingly pick apart unrevised and contradictory web pages. The answers are there: IATA, WTO, OPCW, CTBTO are related organizations, not specialized agencies. It's that simple. Henning Blatt (talk) 10:07, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed, unfortunately I'm having a hard time getting that point across... TDL (talk) 17:49, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
