When I created this page, I originally included non-recreational caving deaths. After due consideration and conversations with a number of other people, I excluded non-recreational deaths deliberately as we felt that they were not useful, nor could we be definitive. A number of dog walkers have fallen down shafts, and boy scouts wandered into holes and had mishaps. I originally had about 30 extra deaths in there, including the Trow Gill Skeleton, and the Gaping Gill Main Shaft remains but removed them all. I welcomed your contribution relating to Peter Ireson, but the incident relating to Lee Cradock was an accident associated with a cave, and cannot be regarded as a recreational caving incident.
