Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, and I noticed that your username, "Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 15:16, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the information on this site. The account has been verified by Wikipedia which is available in Wikipedia's ticket system and is registered on a single person's email address. Information is transparently shared with the community before changes have been made.--Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (talk) 15:29, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Verification is not the issue. Your username needs to comply with the username policy in that it cannot be the name of a business and it must indicate that it is used by a single person. 331dot (talk) 15:37, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Heidelberger_Druckmaschinen_AG. Concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it at the page for requests for comment on usernames. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name at Wikipedia:Changing username following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:59, 24 November 2017 (UTC) 331dot (talk) 10:59, 24 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback. I have not been aware of the different regulations in the English and German Wikipedia. This account will not be used for any suggestions on the English Wikipedia. The account name will not be changed because this account is used to make suggestions to the German Wikipedia site since it is familiar to have the company's name as account as press related person and also is verified by the German Wikipedia. --Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (talk) 14:17, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.
