Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Wiarton Schooners, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. In regards to the Wiarton GHML teams
[edit]Please read this statement by the GMHL. The very first line states that "The Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League is returning to Wiarton, Ontario following a change of ownership." This directly implies that the Rock franchise license was transferred to the new owners of the Schooners. While the Schooners are a new "team" (which has various definitions) and a new organization (new ownership and management), the franchise (the right to play in the league) is not new. And since the article is about the franchise, the Rock and its previous iterations are also included.
Also, we never, under any circumstances, edit by deletion. If you continue that method, you will be blocked. Please use talk pages if you disagree on content. Thank you. Yosemiter (talk) 12:36, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- Also, per your comment to RA0808, I did not "create" the page. A highly experienced Canadian junior hockey editor DMighton created and made the changes from the Rock to the Schooners. I merely just cleaned and moved the page. If it can be determined that the Dyers paid for an expansion franchise vs. obtaining ownership of the former Ziel-owned franchise then the page you have been deleting content from would revert to the info from the Rock franchise with only a mention that it was replaced by the Schooners. In other words, the opposite of your edits. We would delete the Schooners info as the edit history of that page is about the Wild-Rock franchise. Yosemiter (talk) 14:46, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
