[edit]Hi Heather, I'm responding to your message on my talk page. Just a hint: please remember to sign all of your messages by using the signature button on the edit bar or by adding four tildes. Greentina (talk) 23:01, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
- Right, must remember to do that! Thank you --Heatheralyse (talk) 23:04, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
- Heather! You need to post answers to the messages you get on the other user's talk page; i.e. in this case, MY talk page. That is the tricky bit about Wikis; the conversation is held on two separate pages. --Greentina (talk) 23:08, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello! It's a bit weird how you have to edit each others pages just to send messages. --SamShurts (talk) 00:58, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- Hey folks! Another solution to the two-page conversation problem is to use the "Talkback" template, added like this - {{tb|YOUR USERNAME HERE}} You place it on someone else's page to let people know you've replied to their message on your page. If you had messages at my page, it would look like:
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
There's also the more subtle "whisperback" - {{wb|YOUR USERNAME HERE}} Hello. You have a new message at The Interior's talk page. On another note, Heatheralyse I looked at your first edit, looks great. You've removed unsourced (and contested) info with cited info. Good stuff. The Interior (Talk) 04:17, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
"Be Bold!"
[edit]Hi Heather, Good for you for taking the plunge and doing a substantive edit. I am impressed. It's interesting that it feels scary: I know what you mean, but remember, as long as you have sources to back you up, you should be fine. I haven't gone to look at your edit summary, but will after I write this. Why don't you keep an eye on the entry you edited and watch to see what happens. Is it an entry that has be subject to lots of edits? Recent ones? It may be that nothing happens! Keep me posted! This is what this assignment is all about: collaborative knowledge making! --Greentina (talk) 04:19, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- PS I just looked at the message above from one of our online ambassadors and s/he thinks what you've done is GREAT!!! Congrats again. --Greentina (talk) 04:22, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

WAC Bennett Group: Intro is up in Norma's Sandbox
[edit]Hey Heather
I put the intro in my sandbox. Please edit away until Monday, March 12th at 5pm - it will go live by Monday night around 9 and I want to have a few hours for finishing touches and to do the citation, bold, links, all that stuff. Sound ok?
Also, just a friendly reminder to put up the outline we have come up with on the talk page of our article - we will all have to indicate the sections we are working on. thanks! Normaromann (talk) 23:34, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi Heather. Thanks for emailing us with regards to the outline and response from Steven. I'm slightly confused, does this team outline also get marked or is it strictly for the wiki universe to see where we are going with our ideas? Not that it matters either way. I'll still add my sentences and sources tomorrow morning so it can be posted before the deadline to our groups talk page. --Tborto1 (talk) 22:54, 12 March 2012 (UTC) Did everyone read the suggestion from the wiki member at the bottom of our articles talk page? What do we think about adding a section that deals with what he suggests? Also, is there any way to do a group message or do I have to write individually in each talk page? --Tborto1 (talk) 00:49, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
Heather I think you forgot your own name? You did history right? I just added that and I also added my sources. Also, I will add the info about generating energy (what has been suggested to the intro - i think that's where it fits in best? not sure about the group message, I asked myself that too! Your question about grading
[edit]Hi Heatheralyse, I happened to see the note you left on Travis's talk page. No you don't get another grade for the outline. You are getting credit for doing 3 things by March 13: (1) putting the outline up on the article talk page on time, (2) putting the outline you your user talk page indicating what sections your doing and (3) going live with 250-400 words. I believe that you've done (1) and (3) and I haven't checked (2). I think you're in good shape. From now on you're on your own - no more deadlines until you have to present your article to the class in the first week of April. This means your Team should aim to have a complete draft done by the end of this month. Make sense? One last thing: you didn't sign your last comment which you left on Travis's talk page. The sin-bot did it - don't forget to do so in future, when posting to talk pages. --Greentina (talk) 17:39, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
Set up a sandbox please
[edit]Hi there, You need to set up your sandbox and then do the drafts of your section of the article in your sandbox rather than your talk page. If you don't know how to do this, let me know and I will help, but other people on your team have set one up correctly and can probably help. --Greentina (talk) 03:46, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- I see it now! So sorry. This is just a sign I shouldn't work at night :-) --Greentina (talk) 01:55, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
Hey Heather, it says you have left a message for me on your page but I can't seem to find it, nor the comment you left on the talk page of my sandbox! :( --Kaypri (talk) 02:57, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
WAC Bennett dam group: history sections
[edit]Section 1.1 and 1.2 are posted in my sandbox. Please take a moment to review them and make any suggestions/corrections you think are necessary. I will begin the final edit and referencing before going live at 5pm on Sunday. Thank you everyone!
Hi Heather, just quickly clarifying what i meant by " lead [sic]" in the feedback. I was just pointing out that the tense of lead should have been changed to the past tense. Sorry for the confusion, I went ahead and changed it on the wiki page. --Biredale (talk) 21:57, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
Edit/End of Project/Presentation
[edit]My section is in my sandbox now- I already published it but just so that there wouldn't be a huge drop at the end! Feel free to edit away, I will do the same! Maybe we should do final edits by the end of next week? We should probably also chat about our presentation - maybe Thursday after class?
Normaromann (talk) 22:14, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
I think Thursday after class would be great to meet for a quick discussion about our presentation the following Tuesday. The first half of my sections will be up tonight in my sandbox. I'll drop it tomorrow afternoon. The last portion of "Social Impacts" will go live thursday/friday at the latest. Tborto1 (talk) 20:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi Heather, my section will be up in my sandbox wed/thur. I am also down for meeting on thursday to discuss the presentation etc. --Biredale (talk) 08:46, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

your editing
[edit]Hi Heather you are right, maybe the "Bennett believed any natural resource.." sentence might work better in your section. If you like, feel free to change that- I just think it shows his "vision" quite well so it would be good to have it in somewhere Normaromann (talk) 23:48, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi Heather, Just re-added a couple sentences from the old wiki page to the bottom of my Aboriginal Communities section. Ben recommend it be done. I re-read it and i'm not sure I like it. Tell me what you think. Should it stay or go? Hope you had a great Easter. Tborto1 (talk) 16:33, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
I did have a good Easter thank you! And I hope you did as well. I read the section, I assume it the 2008 info. While it's not part of our project about the history of the dam, I think that it's relevant to that section of the article. It can stay in my opinion, though I think if there were a way to make it clear to Tina and Stephen that this was not part of our work, but part of the existing article we think is well sourced and relevant, that would be good. Maybe just by writing this on my talk page I'm doing that... hmm. Thoughts? --Heatheralyse (talk) 18:40, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Seems the common consensus is to keep it so will do. Thanks for the input. I'm wondering how we can go about letting them (steven and tina) know that its from the old article...I know they are able to see both the old and new article side by side and i'm assuming they will do this for marking purposes. hmmm...I can always write in my personal assessment for tomorrow that that info was already on the page. Tborto1 (talk) 19:24, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Yes! That is great idea i think. Do you know how Kayla is doing? Heatheralyse (talk) 20:07, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
