Scratchin' my head here... Maybe you can point me in the right direction...

I've been using your unreliable.js script for quite some time. However, I've slowly begun to realize that - sometime a few months ago (at the very least) - this script has stopped functioning for me. I'm running the legacy 2010 vector skin, but it looks like your documentation page states that you can import the script onto your common.js page, or your skin.js page - which translates to me that skin is not the issue. I even commented out all of my other running scripts on both my common.js page as well as my vector.js page and with no luck. I also don't see any big errors in my developer source console in Firefox. Have you had this reported to you at all lately? Is there a direction you can point me to that has helped others with the same issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:58, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Once you ran my script solo, if it didn't work... I got no idea why. Try other skins to see if it works, or try putting it on vector.js directly? If not, you'll likely have to ask for help at WP:VPT or WP:SCRIPTREQ. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 06:54, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Redirects

Hi Headbomb, I know you created some redirects to Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics which I created and I'm wondering where you got them from and under what policy they're created, as I've found some more at Wikipedia:WikiProject Academic Journals/Journals cited by Wikipedia/Publisher2 that could possibly be created. Nobody (talk) 08:37, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand, the redirects I made were are all former names of the journal? What's the issue here? Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 13:38, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
If you mean there are closely related redlinks, make sure they're not typos/misabbreviations (e.g. Swiss J Economics Statistics should be either the fully abbreviated Swiss J Econ Stat or the fully unabbreviated Swiss Journal of Economics Statistics). Fixing the articles with those is the better solution than creating other redirects. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 13:43, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
I had 3 in mind. 2 (La Revue suisse d'économie politique et de statistique and Revue suisse d'Économie politique et de Statistique) are similar similar to one that you created (Revue Suisse d'Économie Politique et de Statistique) and the other one was Swiss J Economics Statistics. They aren't realy important, but they were used as the publications name in the past. Nobody (talk) 14:01, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
You can either normalize the capitalization, or tag those with {{R from alternate capitalisation}}. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 14:02, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. Also a heads-up that I might soon create a article for Alpine Entomology a redirect which you created. Nobody (talk) 14:07, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

CS1 error on Spanish flu

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Spanish flu, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL and missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 21:52, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Sticky table problems

Can you tell us if you see other problems than the ones already mentioned here:

So we can fix, or improve it. Please comment there. --Timeshifter (talk) 04:21, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Amongst other things, it also got rid of the color-coding. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 04:23, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. Can you please comment there if you saw any other problems. I am not the editor of {{sticky table start}}, and I don't want to have to try to explain what you are seeing to the template editor: Jroberson108.
Any other observations there would be appreciated. It is a new version of a popular template, {{sticky header}}, and the problems are still being worked out.
I updated the link to the talk page section. --Timeshifter (talk) 04:55, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Publisher for you

This journal: https://search.worldcat.org/title/cainozoic-research/oclc/51307519 has been mentioned at Wikipedia talk:Notability (species). I don't see anything about it being predatory online (though it's apparently published some articles about predatory snails), but I thought you might be interested in looking into it. Verywell

Hi Headbomb. Regarding this: the Verywell sites are in fact *unjustly* banned. They don't belong on the spamlist, because they aren't spamsites.

In December 2018, someone reported three of the four Verywell sites to WT:SBL, citing a tiny shred of evidence that quickly falls apart on inspection. An admin than impulsively banned the sites. Ever since, noone has unbanned them, either because of gross stupidity, or due to a conspiracy to keep them banished. I have evidence of both.

I see you are an admin. Can you remove those sites from the banlist? Thanks! Have a nice day, Manifestation (talk) 08:48, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

First I'm not an admin. The place to raise these issues is that WP:RSN. But you've tried that several times and convinced few people, and admitted that Verywell is often "not the greatest". There's already other more reliable sources here, so I fail to see why Verywell is needed. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 14:47, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
People weren't convinced because they didn't pay attention. You can't convince people who are close-minded.
The spamlist should not be used to ban popular press sources. If you ban Verywell, then you should also ban: Men's Health, Women's Health, Psychology Today, Healthy Children, ScienceDaily, Healthline, Medical News Today, Daily Mirror, Sunday Mail, Investopedia.
Guess what? None of those websites are banned. It is advised against citing them, but you can still link to them.
I'm struggling to figure out how I can get people to listen to me. It will definitely take a lot of time to collect the evidence I need. Time which I don't have right now... - Manifestation (talk) 19:32, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
