Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.Sincerely, Crtew (talk) 21:45, 24 August 2012 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
Editing links
[edit]Hdfulk, I saw your note on my talk. The problem you were having was that all the links were created as external links. For external sites like Flickr, you would use the single bracket and the URL. For internal links to Wikipedia, also known as Wikilinks, you would use the double brackets and the term for the article. For even more control over wikilinks and the word used in the link to move to a different target, see this Wikilinks article in help. Good job, Crtew (talk) 21:52, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Assigned
[edit]Assigned Mexican journalists Guillermo Luna Varela, Gabriel Huge Córdoba, Esteban Rodríguez Rodríguez, Ana Irasema Becerra Jiménez (who did PR for a local newspaper), all of whom were killed in the same incident. Good luck, Crtew (talk) 05:33, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Notability and infobox
[edit]Hdfulk,
You've covered the basics of who, what, where, when, why, how many, but make sure you're specific and precise enough. For instance, we can highlight the Boca del Rio area in map and physical geography. Were all four journalists? What else is going on in Veracruz area that you can sum up more precisely? I'm curious is the investigation still ongoing? If so, we need to put a Template:Current on the page. Once you tweak it, you'll be ok. Then you'll revisit it before you submit. Chelms6, Peer Review
[edit]Hey! Your article is coming along nicely and I understand you still have more to add on the bottom. Don't worry I'm not near done adding information either. Some thing you may want to consider is changing the information in parenthesis in the first section. You may want to add what that actually translates to in English instead of making a joke (although jokes are fun). The only other thing I would suggest is what Professor Tew talked about in class, work on relating the context of the situation; what's going on in the country, the world if applicable. Other than that, looking good Hdfulk. --Chelms6 (talk) 17:31, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I promise it wasn't a joke! It was a literal note for myself, to find a more accurate translation than what I had. Thank you for your review. I'll start working on my article again soon. Hdfulk (talk) 15:03, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]Thanks for the advice doll. I'll try and get this article up by today. Key word, try. Haha. Anyways I hope that you have a wonderful day (: Jmstalling (talk) 15:40, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia Education Program: student survey!
[edit]Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes, and I'd really appreciate your response!
Thanks so much! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 01:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
