[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Durdana Ansari, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. pburka (talk) 19:44, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Hba5921. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:06, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello OhNoitsJamie. thanks for your message and advice. First of all I have no relation of any kind with Durdana Ansari, neither do I know who created the account. However, I do know the lady as a highly respected and notable lady from UK whom I had come across professionally in a few diplomatic and government functions when I was working in London myself. I saw her account had a COI and thought of cleanup as was suggested to the best of my understanding. Furthermore since the alert said if the queries are removed which I thought were the dates I tried to remove the alert. Since advised by Pburka and yourself here I am requesting advice. I have been a previous contributor to Wikipedia but since I logged in from my company account maybe I seem new. Anyways, the intention was and is not malafied or promoting anyone as I have already explained. Thanks for keeping Wikipedia so progressive and useful. Regards and thank you HBA Hba5921 (talk) 07:53, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- It looks very suspicious when an article is edited by a group of new editors who have never contributed to any other article, and all have similar editing styles. If you control multiple accounts, you must disclose this and not use them as WP:SOCKPUPPETs. I also note that you refer to this as a "company account." This is a violation of Wikipedia policy. Accounts may not be shared and can only be used by individuals, not companies. The COI warning advised you to discuss the issue on the article's talk page which you didn't do. Neither did any of the other accounts which look similar to this one. pburka (talk) 15:56, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello. Thanks for the advise. First of all I do not know who sock puppets is nor have any connection with it. Secondly when I said company account it does not mean that it’s a company accounts it’s my personal is and email which I have under my work / consultancy. I apologise for wrong choice of words.
Also I agree I should have talked before which now I understand. However, my effort and I Myself am as genuine as Wikipedia itself. Furthermore my effort was and is just to alert and answer the COI as what ever is written for the lady is genuine which can be verified from multiple social media sources and platforms. I never had nor have any intention to violate Wikipedia rules and policies. Rest of course I leave to your better judgements and policies. Cheers and thanks HBA Hba5921 (talk) 06:47, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
