[edit]Personality Psychology Personality psychology is the study of personalities and individuals differences. Personality psychology focuses more on constructing a coherent picture of individuals and his or her major psychological processes. Psychology studies the interest in people behavior to see how unique an individual, how different women are from males. Such as the ways they think, do certain things, and their difference on how they see life. (Personality psychology) Personality can be defined as dynamic and organized set of characteristics possessed by a person’s uniquely influence of his or hers cognitions, emotions, motivations, and behaviors in various situations. (Personality psychology) Term theory is used every day in language; it is often used to a mean a guess, hunch or supposition. Some people will dismiss certain information that is giving because they see it as “Only a theory. A theory is based upon hypothesis and backed by evidence. A theory presents a concept or idea that is testable. (What is a Theory) Theory has two key components: 1. it must describe a behavior and 2. Make predictions about future behaviors. (What is a Theory) David Funder has done research on how personality’s impacts what ordinary people do in their everyday lives. David Funder research builds on much of the vital work that has been done over the past 30 years on personality structure and measurement. The structural task of examine the impact of personality in the real world. David Funder wanted his research to be directed to the tasks and activities that occupy by individuals lives, such as going to work, listening to music, spend time in their garden’s, exercise, worship, maintain their houses, speak, and eat.
