[edit]Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Waitaki River. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your original contributions are welcome.-gadfium 06:51, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to The Holocaust, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 13:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Helpful guidance
[edit]Hi there Hayden. After seeing your edits to Weston, New Zealand I think you could benefit from and appreciate guidance from a widely experienced Wikipedian, so I have asked User:Gadfium if he has the time to help you out. I left a message here on his talk page. Ordinarily I would offer assistance myself, but I simply don't have available time. Cheers. 219.89.17.189 06:21, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:RightAPCubVar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RightAPCubVar.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Possibly unfree Image:NZ Stewart Island.png
[edit]
- I've now listed it for deletion. You created this image due to your dislike of the use of Rakiura. The image is based on a map that's fallen out of favour because its out of scale. So, I would suggest that we find consensus on the naming of the article, before (if at all) creating a new image.--Limegreen 12:17, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
I've nominated your image for speedy delete. The copyright of the picture is owned by the Iranian Students News Agency. So even if you took the picture you will need to provide evidence of your employers' permission to post it. Also as an Iranian New Zealander you arn't able to be considered an European New Zealander but still might be able to be counted as a pakeha - SimonLyall 08:30, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, sorry about the above, I am not very up on ethnic groups in the east so didn't realise that calling you an Iranian New Zealander might be offensive. I made an incorrect assumption based on where you took the photo and who for alone with some other posts to NZ related groups. It now occurs to me you might might be a member of another ethnic group from Iran or perhaps you were just on a working visit there when you took the photo. Also you may prefer not to be called a NZer, Anyway, Sorry for the confusion - SimonLyall 09:34, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
3rd time lucky. Once again sorry for the above, it's been a long day. Anyway the photo you took was pretty good but like I said it looks like the agency owns the copyright so wikipedia can't use it. If you have another version that you own the copyright and you would like to release it then I'm sure it could be added to wikipedia. - SimonLyall 09:39, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to The Holocaust . Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Gwernol 12:02, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism to Homosexuality
[edit]Add that disgusting tripe again and I'll block you for blatant vandalism. Take your homophobia elsewhere - it's not acceptable on Wikipedia. FCYTravis 15:29, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Homosexuality. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Never remove content from an article merely becuase it does not accord with your POV, which by the way, is irrelevent to the article. See WP:NPOV. Also note, that your edits are bordering on hate speech.--Agnaramasi 23:35, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not make homophobic comments towards other users, as you did at Talk:Homosexuality. Wikipedia has a strict no personal attacks policy. Users who continue to be homophobic towards other users will be blocked. I removed part of your edit because it was hate speech advocating for the execution of homosexuals. If you posting hate speech such as this again I will report to the administrators, who may block you indefinitely. --Agnaramasi 19:12, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Adolf_Hitler_with_Mother_and_baby.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Adolf_Hitler_with_Mother_and_baby.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hitler Photo?
[edit]Did you really take that photo of Hitler? I'm beginning to suspect you arn't on the level sometimes - SimonLyall 12:17, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm afraid its not that clear see for instance Wikipedia:Public_domain#German_World_War_II_images, in either case you shouldn't lie and say you took the photo. It doesn't help your credibility that you lie on things like that. Especially in your case where your edits are "changing the tone" of articles you want to ensure that other editors can trust that you are being truthful with your changes to wikipedia. If you lie when you upload images they may suspect that you might lie about other things such as various historical/racial topics you post about. In which case you edits will be rolled back unless you have extensive documentation and references. - SimonLyall 12:47, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Threat @ Homosexuality
[edit]If you even attempt to make good on your threat to insert reams of homophobic nonsense into the Wikipedia article on homosexuality, you will very swiftly find yourself entirely unable to edit the encyclopedia. FCYTravis 01:03, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Personal Attacks
[edit]Regardless of what you might think of someone's edits, this [1] is not an appropriate way to respond. Please read No personal attacks. You might also find you get a less frosty response if you make some edits on a topic that you have a less strong opinion about. --Limegreen 11:34, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
I have reverted your edit because that is not really the case. Many female actresses do actually prefer to be known as actors, simply because that is the general name given to the job specification. Thanks for showing an interest though - I'd just thought that was a duff edit that was all. Lradrama 11:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 19:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to David Geffen, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 02:02, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi! I see you have actively participated on Talk:Marlboro (cigarette). It has been suggested that Marlboro Friday and Marlboro Cigarettes Brands be merged to this article. I would appreciate your oppinion concerning this merges. Rjgodoy 19:50, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Waitaki District Council Crest.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Waitaki District Council Crest.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:32, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Ivory Coast/Côte d'Ivoire
[edit]I've moved the page on the country back to Côte d'Ivoire. This matter has been discussed at least twice before, and both times, it was decided that the official (French) name was the one with the most support among editors. I believe both debates should be preserved at Talk:Côte d'Ivoire or its archives. — Brian (talk) 09:26, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Please use the Talk:Actor or the IPs talk page to say why you reverted his edits and why they were a 'complete load of bollocks'. Thanks Lradrama 08:39, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please see the talkpage for actor. It is obvious you are not an actor or not interested in drama or acting, because you keep reverting edits that are good. Please take part in the disussion, and leave football out of it... Lradrama 10:25, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- See that talkpage - I have support from all quarters. Lradrama 12:03, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Disruptive edits to New Zealand articles
[edit]I see that you have changed the articles of many New Zealand government agencies to remove the Māori names, usually with a misleading or insulting edit summary. I have rolled these back. The Māori names are equivalent to the English ones for these agencies, as Māori is an official language in New Zealand. Your edits are purely disruptive.-gadfium 19:47, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
I've started a discussion about Māori names at Wikipedia:New_Zealand_Wikipedians'_notice_board#M.C4.81ori_names. If you want to make comments there during your block period, please post them below (and make it clear whether you are reply to me here or to the noticeboard discussion) and I'll copy the comments there for you.-gadfium 19:58, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

New Zealand Wiki Notice Board
[edit]Thankyou kindly Gadfium if you copy this;
- In the first sentences of the articles and in the infoboxes we can use only generally accepted most common English names (We primarily write Wikipedia for English-language readers and we should not confuse them with so many names in the infoboxes and in the first paragraph of the article where other more important things should be)
- If English-language readers want to know other names used for the subject, such names could be written in the "Name" section where they easy can find them
- We can have separate article sections named "Language" where we can describe official language policies, i.e, we can say which languages are used as official by local or national authorities.
From the scientific point of view, my opinion is very logical and very much in accordance with scientific purpose of Wikipedia. There is really no any logical reason for usage of so many non-English names in English texts because such names do not mean anything to English-language readers.
I found that preceeding argument elswhere on wikipedia, and it was largely the basis and motivation of my changes.
Also, by forcing a Maori name on every article is somewhat incorrect, as we are assuming Maori is the default language. I say this as, while a town or authority with an English name will have its Maori translation, a Maori named town (such as Tauranga, Whakatane etc) will have no such translation. I have no great problem with the Maori names being explained in a 'names' section, but disagree entirely with them being placed in the infoboxes, as if they hold as much weight as their English equivalents. We must remember, that as New Zealanders, this may not be too confusing for us, but for a foreigner to read this it would be greatly confusing. Especially if they were planning a trip to our country. Please keep these names out of infoboxes, and ideally out of the first line of the article and into a names section. --Hayden5650 23:09, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Minor Note (MadeInFinland)
[edit]You seem to assume that MadeInFinland is a "Gypsy" (I guess you mean "Romani") and make conclusions based on that about the behavior of other users who are Romani. I just thought I'd note that there is no evidence that MadeInFinland is Romani in the first place. --Kuaichik 21:31, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
My Blocking?? Again??
[edit]Hayden5650 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Why on earth am I blocked again? I did no disruptive editing, I reverted a couple of edits and insisted on discussion, as per wiki policy. Someone, please take a look at my edits from the last few days. Pref someone who can be impartial, i.e who has not been involved in the debates. This is very undemocratic, I feel I have been blocked for debating. Furthermore, I just read through the Wiki admin notice board regarding my block, and I urge whoever considers this appeal to read through the links that have been provided to my edits, and you'll see quotes of me have been taken completely out of context. I actually read a couple and thought 'did I really say that??' until I followed the link and saw the context. and regarding the blanking of the page, that was on my first or second edit here, and was afterwards pointed towards the sandbox. Please, somebody, clear this up. Thankyou.
Decline reason:
You were blocked for edit warring and disruptive edits. Since your last block I saw British/American spelling bickering, edit warring on the Nazi party article, edit warring on a bunch of ethnic groups, and fairly demeaning edit summaries in those edits. Since you have been previously blocked for this behavior, re-blocking is appropriate. —dgiestc 05:32, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to National Socialist German Workers Party, you will be blocked from editing. Apparently, you have already been blocked for a period of time regarding this dispute. Keep it up, and I will report you to an administratior again. Reginmund 13:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
New block
[edit]You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or mail unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org.
During your last block, you were involved in considerable sockpuppetry on two IP addresses. This was established on the basis of editing patterns, but has since been confirmed as likely by a checkuser request. Under that policy, and noting the warning above that applied to one of your first five edits after your block expired, this block is being reinstituted and extended. Please do not use sockpuppets to evade the ban, or it will be reset per WP:SOCK: "Evading a block or ban causes the timer on the block to restart, and may further lengthen it." Orderinchaos 21:50, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
I have restarted your block due to sockpuppetry. See Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Hayden5650. If further sockpuppetry occurs I will propose an indefinite ban.-gadfium 21:16, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Hayden5650 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Yes, I edited off one IP when I saw obvious vandalism from the equally obvious return of previously blocked MadeinFinland to Romani and related articles, under the guise of User:Nazi catcher. However, looking at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Hayden5650 I am simply not all those people! From experience, there are many people who edit Romani and World War II related topics, whom Desiphral does not agree with. I feel I am being made a scapegoat of for many of these edits. I was happily serving my block until July 10th, but seeing such blatant vandalism and the unrecognised return of MadeinFinland just absolutely boiled my blood and I couldn't resist. I was hoping this might have been accepted, I did not realise some other members of the community would take such objection to my actions. I'd say the checkuser was voted as likely, because of the fact that one IP was indeed me, reverting vandalism and alerting other members on the Romani talkpage. A discussion which was quickly destroyed by Desiphral attacking me personally, rather than my actions. I am not asking to be unblocked, but would greatly appreciate my block being reset to what it orginally was, set to expire July 10th. I sincerely hope that you can see my intentions were in the best of faith, and I am greatly sorry they were misconstrued as vandalism.
Decline reason:
