Hello

[edit]
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for writing the article Death Vultures. Unfortunately it doesn't conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles. However, please do not be disheartened by what may happen to your first article, if indeed it is deleted. Please continue to edit Wikipedia and add articles which conform with the inclusion criteria. For help, see Help:Contents. To find out what will probably be deleted, see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Thanks, and if you have any questions, please ask them on my user talk page. To do this, click on my name (just after this sentence) and click discussion at the top and then the (+) button at the top.

Please take a look at Wikipedia's notability guideline. Subjects covered by Wikipedia are those where there are reliable sources of information available. It is not an appropriate venue for topics of personal interest. If it is a common thing to create chapters, you may want to check out Wikia. (http://www.wikia.com) Wikia is intended for hosting articles on narrow topics or for things that don't meet Wikipedia's requirements. --BigDT 12:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Death Vulture.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Death Vulture.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Postdlf 17:48, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
