Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! 5 albert square (talk) 00:28, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I'm RobertG. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Only Fools and Horses The Musical have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --RobertG ♬ talk 10:30, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 20:03, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
The material was copied from another website, and thus was a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please don't add copyright material to Wikipedia. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:20, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
Your edits
[edit]Hi Harry,
I got your email but I'm responding here simply because I'm not as active at the moment due to health issues and if I keep everything here then other editors can respond.
You have asked what edits were deemed as promotional. It's your edits describing the show as "iconic" etc that are promotional. "Join us as we take a trip back to 1989" - that's promotional. I've also found the exact same text here meaning that it's copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia. I think that this may be the material that @Diannaa: may be referring to above. Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material.
You have also referred to the page in your email as "our page" - nobody "owns" a page on Wikipedia. I hope this helps you :)-- 5 albert square (talk) 19:41, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
