Age in life span brackets of biographical articles
[edit]Please check out Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biographies#Opening paragraph. The dying age of the person should not be included in the brackets which show the birth and death dates. Thank you. Kraxler (talk) 21:16, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
- The living age shouldn't be added as a numeral either. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:00, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- Please stop adding ages in the opening pragraph. And please check out WP:Edit warring. Kraxler (talk) 12:05, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
Notice
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at William Pitt Preble. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Please read WP:OPENPARA, WP:MOSBIO MOS:DOB and several others. Stop adding the age of the individual in the opening paragraphs. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:53, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
Hello, HarryPotterFan4747, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. Thank you. Widr (talk) 12:54, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
