Protests by farmers in North Cotabato

[edit]

Last April 1, 4 were killed when police attempted to stop a protest by farmers affected by El Niño in the Davao-North Cotabato Highway in Kidapawan, North Cotabato.

But, I am not sure whether it is notable and of national importance to remain in 2016 in the Philippines, or not, should be removed? --TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 04:23, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is different from the protests, since unfortunately someone died allegedly due to police brutality. This may even warrant an article. I see no problem about the inclusion so far, since the administration itself is being blamed for the incident and their overall response to the droughts.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:17, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You added an article with this name: 2016 Kidapawan protests. --TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 10:59, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I did create the article, to remove any doubts, I don't have any problem for its inclusion since this is being linked with the Hacienda Luisita massacre and Mendiola massacre.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:07, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I agree for notability. It is different from most protests, because of police brutality on the protest and its effect on the national government's response to the 2016 El Nino and the whole country. --TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 11:28, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out. I wasn't aware of this.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 09:10, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Hariboneagle927. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Monika Sta. Maria, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Monika Sta. Maria to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Vinod 10:09, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Doble Kara

[edit]

I think need their help something wrong about messy about drama from the two characters in portrayed is Julia Montes Sara and Kara as in twin faces at Doble Kara universe. by the way isn't the season 4 or book 2 and season 1-3 or book 1 will happened after the ended from chapter yet? Oripaypaykim (talk) 12:57, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is your question regarding on how Book 1 and two divided? Like does Book 4 starts in Season 4 and Book 1 encompasses Season 1-3? I'm not that familiar with the story and can't help much if that's the case.
If it regards on how Julia Montes is listed in the Cast section. I believe using "and" is better and makes it clear that Julia Montes portrayed two characters instead of a slash ("/") which is often used to differentiate alter egos which I often encounter in teleserye articles. But the usage of slash in this article isn't problematic since the only other characters with the slash used is the twin protagonist's younger self, both portrayed by Avery BalasbasHariboneagle927 (talk) 13:12, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah Right that's a good point, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Ang Probinsyano guest stars AFD nominated again the reason said WayKurat "Article is unsourced and it violates WP:LISTCRUFT. Forking out a list of guest cast with no valid sources is really unnecessary" also same the reason from the valid sources. Oripaypaykim (talk) 13:29, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of "Education" sections on city/municipality articles

[edit]

I saw many edits made by you removing "Education" sections of city/municipality articles. Take a look at this diff and this one also. I suppose you should be cutting them down to a short list or an overview instead of removing them.

The case with your edits with the Batangas City and Lipa, Batangas articles is that you removed even the universities and colleges, where the others (elementary and high schools) should be only an overview and information of the local Department of Education division that has jurisdiction of those schools.--TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 09:06, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is someone is adding a indiscriminate list of schools in direct violation of WP:DIRECTORY. In the case of Batangas City and Batangas was a judgement call on my part. Trimming such list to just a list of colleges and universities will likely just encourage the adding of other schools. Sooner or later elementary and even daycare centers will creep in since the other articles with such problematic indiscriminate listing. (Same for the Tourism destination list, which should go to Wikipedia's sister project Wikivoyage. But some editors won't just get it since there are other articles that violate this. Since Province A has a list of "Points of Interest" therefore it is acceptable in Province B.

I'm leaving a blank slate for these articles for now.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 12:28, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted back some colleges (with Wikipedia articles) in Lipa and Batangas City at least. I am made a fresh content on the Batangas article that could serve as a model for other lgus. Can't make mass edits now especially this week.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 12:56, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
