Hindi names
[edit]Hardik, Hindi names are not needed for cities that are not in Hindi speaking states. See well established articles like Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. 24.28.72.100 (talk) 13:42, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Re:Ahmedabad article
[edit]Hey Hardik, Yes, I did a revert for it because the article is FA. The material added to the FA should be of same class in order to maintain its status. The material you have added is good and I appreciate the hardwork put in it. The thing is, not all information should be added to an article making long and cumbersome. You can create subarticles and put links of it on Ahmedabad article. I would also like to say that the language used should be neutral and no WP:PEACOCK should be followed. That's main reason I did a revert. Please check other FA class city articles for knowing more. Let me know if I could be of any help. BTW, sorry - I was just going to leave this message on your talkpage but saw the note from you coming before that. --GPPande 15:08, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hardik, adding a new section to an article is considered a big change. I would recommend that you create a new article titled Gardens and Parks in Ahmedabad and include not just the 3 important parks you mentioned but all. Make this new article as detailed as possible. Then in the main Ahmedabad article provide one line link to this new article. I hope you would see the benefits of this method. --GPPande 16:25, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- I see that you have added the material back to article. This is NOT what we agreed my friend. Please consider reverting back. I see no reason to add an entire new section just for parks and garden. Please move it a sub article and link it to city page. --GPPande 09:30, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:SVPI Airport New Terminal.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:SVPI Airport New Terminal.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 06:50, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
April 2011
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. —Abhishek Talk to me 05:05, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi! Who took this photo? You or User:Lsdjfhkjsb? Could you please fix the description? And what about the older version? Where did that come from? Do you remember that? --MGA73 (talk) 20:07, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Hardik, can you get us a better more "straighter" version of the image for the High Court of Gujarat? Thanks. — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 17:10, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Jama Masjid, Ahmedabad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ahmed Shah (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hi,
Thanks for participating in Wikipedia Takes Ahmedabad. It was a great success and we are very happy for you. Your city event hasgarnered over 700 images and has beenblogged about internationally!. How awesome is that? Great work, friend.
Introducing myself, I'm a volunteer looking after WikiProject India - a group of editors who have got together to collaborate in improving articles on India in English Wikipedia. We have over 90,000 articles and are probably the biggest Indian Language Wikipedia after Hindi Wikipedia. Yes, we consider ourselves an Indian language & gave a status report presentation in WikiConference 2011. :)
People look first to English Wikipedia for detailed, well-illustrated, properly referenced and well-written articles before they look at the article versions in the Indic language wikipedia. This means that we can use all the help we can get. That means you! :)
By joining the WikiProject, if you are a newbie you get to learn things faster. If you are an established editor, you get to collaborate with others. Hardcore ninja Wiki-warriors get a chance to meet young enthusiastic members and to push forward their pet projects collaboratively. We have an exciting project going already - Offline Wikipedia for Indian Schools. We also have aCollaboration Of The Month where we select two articles and develop them. Onour talk page, you can get help, participate in meaningful discussions, pick up tips & tricks and learn about new issues. In all cases, you can have fun here! :)

MICA Page
[edit]Hello
My name is Sanchita Dasgupta. I am a student of MICA (PGP-18) and am part of team Interface. We wanted to edit the MICA page, put in a lot more details, updates, etc. Can you please share the ID and password for the wiki page login since this is a protected page and information that I'm putting up isn't visible.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.97.57.106 (talk) 11:12, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi. I've opened a GAR on the Ahmedabad article for which you are a main contributor. I have concerns that it does not quite meet current GA criteria regarding sourcing and MoS. Following the guidelines at Wikipedia:Good article reassessment, I'm letting you know in case you're interested in helping to resolve the concerns, though you are under no obligation to do anything. See Talk:Ahmedabad/GA2 for more details. SilkTork ✔Tea time 14:33, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
