Inappropriate edits to Derek Laud

[edit]

Thanks for this. Very helpful indeed. I appreciate your help. I am drawing attention to details that are surprisingly absent. HIs Appearence on The Alan Titchmarsh Show with Bette Midler. He appeared alongside, Lady Amabel Leighton in Ladette to Lady on ITV. He is current Chairman of Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge and the link is also informative in it's own right. Why are these points absent?

Hi Hammell11, I unfortunately don't know the answer to your question (I don't even know who the subject of this article even is). But it may (or may not) be that there's not a reliable source for those points. That said, I'd encourage you to take a look at the Introduction to Wikipedia page that can help explain what the guidelines to editing are and how to edit the page so that it complies with Wikipedia's rules! Then you can potentially edit the page in a way that complies with the rules! DocFreeman24 (talk) 04:28, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hammell11,

First off, welcome to Wikipedia! I saw you made an edit on Derek Laud, which injected some inappropriate material into the page. In particular, please avoid from injecting personal opinions into an article (e.g., declaring something is "complete rubbish" on the page itself) and please try to avoid adding incomplete sentences that don't make any sense (e.g., "Ladette's to Lady with Lady Amber Leighton, Guy Ritchie's Mother with whom Laud is close. The Graham Norton Show, The Alan Titchmarsh show"). If you disagree with the content of an article, please feel to raise those issues on a talk page so that other edits can weigh in. Also, for articles regarding living people, please make sure that any edits you make comply with the guidelines for articles regarding living people. Wikipedia has pretty strict rules regarding statements concerning living people, so please make sure to abide by those! If you don't follow Wikipedia's rules for editing, you may get in trouble and, ultimately, be prevented for editing. But again, welcome to Wikipedia and I hope you can be a productive member of the community! DocFreeman24 (talk) 03:39, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
