[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Rubus ulmifolius, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-
Plant articles are improved by the addition of infoboxes and need categories. If yo look at the edits I'll make in the near future this may assist you in any further additions to plant articles. Thanks for your contributions and good work on including a reference

Speciesboxes
[edit]Hi, although {{Speciesbox}} does work without parameters to specify the taxon, these are considered good practice. You can either use |taxon=
(as I've done at e.g. Rubus nessensis) or use the combination |genus=
+|species=
. Category:Speciesboxes relying on page title tracks articles not explicitly specifying the taxon, so someone will clean them up eventually.

A page you started (Rubus anglocandicans) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Rubus anglocandicans.
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-
I've carried out some standard cleanup for a species article: I've added a taxon bar template and linked to articles on this species in other languages (this also links to Wikispecies). I've upgraded the journal citations by autofilling them in from the DOI number (which is the easiest way to do them-no typing and a link is inserted automatically). Someone else has also put a tag on the talk page marking it as for the attention of the plants working group (WikiProject). Hope that's all OK.

Plant articles
[edit]Hi, good to see the articles you've been creating on Rubus and Sorbus. Could you have a look at e.g. Sorbus porrigentiformis, and see some of the features that you could usefully add:
- The {{Speciesbox}} template is conventionally the first in the article.
- You should include
|taxon=
. - The title of the article is put in bold at the first occurrence.
- Please add {{reflist}} after the References heading.
- Don't repeat a full reference. Give the first occurrence a name (by <ref name=SOMENAME>...</ref>) and then just use the named ref the next time (by <ref name=SOMENAME/>)
- Categories should be added to articles – for large genera such as Rubus and Sorbus, this will be the genus name with a 'key' of the species name, e.g. "[[Category:Sorbus|porrigentiformis]]".
There's a lot more guidance at WP:PLANTS; perhaps start at the index.
Leave me a message on my talk page if I can help in any way. Peter coxhead (talk) 23:08, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi Peter, many thanks for the feedback. Yes some of these things I was unsure of. Hammarbya (talk) 16:56, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
A page you started (Sorbus leighensis) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Sorbus leighensis.
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
I've done some standard things which are always necessary to do to finish a species article: I've added a taxonbar, tagged the talk page for attention of the plants WikiProject (working group) and added a category. (I've activated the taxobar to make it display-you do this by linking to Wikidata, Wikipedia's sister project that holds structured data like species records, but this isn't strictly necessary as a bot system does it eventually if you leave it. A taxobar, though, you have to put in the article yourself.)
The article really needed online citations so it could be verified, so I've added these. It's a shame that Watsonia doesn't seem to index its old articles by DOI so I could autofill the citations; still I have filled in three. I looked for CC-BY licensed photos which could be uploaded to Wikipedia, unfortunately there don't seem to be any. Where terms such as 'whitebeam' appeared first in the article I have made them into links.
A fairly newly identified species in a locality as well-surveyed as the British Isles is always something worth explaining, so I've added more information about the species' genetic makeup. Hope that's all OK. Please always feel free to contact me if you'd like help with something.

- Hammarbya, note that it's WP style to put " " between a figure and a unit, e.g. "6 cm". Peter coxhead (talk) 10:46, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
