Speedy deletion nomination of Full Moon (video game)
[edit]Hello Hameltion, I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Full Moon (video game) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
Nick Moyes (talk) 00:32, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
:I'm writing this here just because the page has been deleted, while I was working on more to my response against its speedy deletion. I refreshed another tab and saw it gone, so I quickly copied what I had saved in the Talk: page.
- Contested deletion
- This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I didn't make the game, and everything that I wrote about it is factual, documenting what goes on in the game. I'm planning on adding more information around its development, like the contest it was made for, which will make it more of an article. Thanks --Hameltion (talk) 00:36, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Addendum: Since I'm the creator of this page, I won't delete the "speedy deletion" thing, but here's something from the criteria: "This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums (these may be covered by CSD A9), software, or other creative works." I'm pretty sure that Full Moon falls under the software category. --Hameltion (talk) 21:26, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
- I no longer feel that this article should be remade, since I've learned more about Wikipedia. --Hameltion (speak, spoken) 15:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Achi (game)
[edit]Hello, and thank you again for your traffic edits. I dropped by your userpage and saw Huli-huli chicken. Coincidence. I just noticed Northamerica1000 making an edit there the other day. Wikipedia is so big and small at the same time. So, I also noticed Achi (game) and came to your talk to ask about it, and see you've met Northamerica1000. He's fantastic. He's one of the most productive editors here. About Achi (game), do you know if it a solved game? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk)
- In the first reference, currently, it seems that it has been ultra-weak solved:
In this game of Achi, the first player always wins, but playing the first piece to the center square by the first player is a losing move.
--Hameltion (speak, spoken) 19:20, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. I could not view that ref because that site it blocked from my location. I just posted here to ask about that. I will post there again to add that ref. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:25, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

FYI, per WP:DYK#Eligibility criteria #1e, any article that has appeared as a bold link on the main page is not eligible for DYK. The information about whether it has appeared in any of the main page columns appears on the article's talk page. Checking there, I see that Pelé has been featured on the main page 10 times to date. Hameltion, I did not know that this article, this version I suppose, made it through DYK and was on the front page. Perhaps you can have a look at this version, which I spent some time on, trying to clean it up. These are of course the articles that advertise us and the quality of our content, but this did not pass muster and shouldn't have been passed. The first sentence already contains two errors. "M-tp M-TP is the first compilation album released by Vietnamese musician Sơn Tùng M-TP and his own record label M-TP Entertainment"--it is not the first compilation; the infobox says this, and so does the second paragraph of "Background and packaging", even though the first paragraph there still claims it as the first. Also, the "and" in that first sentence is ungrammatical: the author meant "on". The second sentence misuses English: in "the compilation is composed of", "composed" is not the proper word. "...new mixes for controversial ones of which instrumentals were accused of plagiarism prior to the release" is well-nigh incomprehensible. I could go on, but grammar and semantics aren't the only problem: the "Background" is basically a rehash of the artist's entire career, with some lip service paid to the plagiarism issue which here, for this album, doesn't seem to be an issue anymore.
There's a lot more wrong with the article: it contains an enormous amount of trivial information and lacks proper verification in many places--search for "Không Độ green tea" and you'll find that verification here consists of the album booklet and a video link to the commercial. Look at note 62--a list of YouTube links. I could go on but I trust you get my point: this article was in no way ready for prime time, and it didn't take me very long to cut it from 42k to 25k and have a better article. I see that you did not make a single edit to the article; surely you should have seen the grammatical errors in the first paragraph. I'm pinging Cwmhiraeth as well; they promoted it based on your assessment. BlueMoonset, perhaps you are interested too. I hope you will accept this note in the spirit in which it was intended--as positive criticism. Take your time when you do a review and do it right. Thank you for your help with DYK, Drmies (talk) 23:40, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure there's any way for me to explain myself here. I had seen a long list of the backlog, wanted to help out, and rushed through a few nominations. [edit]Maximum reservoir volume is different from the structural volume (volume of the materials used in the structure). Sardar Sarovar's structural volume is only 6.82 million cu.m which is far off from the list.

Ways to improve Manuel Olivencia
[edit]Hi, I'm BusterD. Hameltion, thanks for creating Manuel Olivencia!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It appears clear this subject is verifiable and I appreciate the work you put into this well formatted page. I'm wondering whether this subject meets the threshold for inclusion as an academic.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
BusterD (talk) 19:56, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- The subject passes the general notability guideline, so I have removed the tag. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 19:59, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for engaging. I'm not sure I agree. The NYT article is about the expo, not directly detailing the subject; the rest are obituaries and death notices which normally are not considered reliable sources sufficient to anchor the pagespace. I'm not tagging for deletion but for improvement. In addition, this page has zero incoming links so that needs to be fixed as well. Thanks again for the excellent page and superior formatting. If I can be of assistance please call on me. BusterD (talk) 20:04, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- Totally get it. See this Google search which turns up a plethora of sources covering his receiving of the Creu de Sant Jordi Award, the second-highest Catalan civilian honor. This one turns up online things before that, including profiles: [1] [2] [3] [4]. I hope this solidifies his notability in addition to the multitude of obituaries that are still being published. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 20:12, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- It is entirely possible the the Creu de Sant Jordi is sufficient to presume notability, but I'm not familiar with the award. Tagging new pages for improvement is part of the New Pages Patrol reviewing process, so if I didn't do this, it's likely someone else would have done. The page is now marked as reviewed. If you are a moderately experienced editor, you can apply for Wikipedia:Autopatrolled permission so that your new creations do not appear on the list for others to review. Happy New Year to you. BusterD (talk) 20:14, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

Just a suggestion
[edit]About Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe: There is no need to respond to every comments; it actually portrays negative light; WP:BLUD is an essay that covers this kind of process. Regards, Alex Shih (talk) 20:40, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. I was just a little shaken that the article was nominated for deletion so quickly and for whatever reason thought that I needed to hurry. Hameltion (talk, contribs) 20:42, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'd like to chime in that the way you ARE engaging with those editors in that process is heartening. Most of those arguing delete are vastly experienced, but you seem to be holding your own. Good for you. For my part, I'm thinking the Oxford Press book source presented by the ever resourceful NorthAmerica1000 and the as yet unmentioned Southern Cultures article Vimala Cooks, Everybody Eats also available in gbooks put this subject past AUD and GNG. I think the bar is a bit higher for CORPDEPTH. It's something to be mentioned that the subject has been mentioned in the press from its early days right into the current news. But add in Dick Gordon and Grist and my personal take is that this passes GNG. The purely local coverage stays because it fills in the gaps (and the Triangle is not itself a tiny locality). NorthAmerica1000 makes a very good point about the quick AfD and the potential BITE effects in this case, because you seem to be here to contribute to the pedia. All that said, Alex makes a valid point above; there's no rush and it's going to be what it's going to be. Keep fighting the good fight. You've earned my admiration today. Alert
[edit]Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. - @Coffee: Hello Coffee. Looking through these links I noticed that this administrative decision was done in summer 2015... I'm just wondering why you sent me this alert now. I didn't edit Wikipedia back then, so I couldn't have gotten the message contemporaneously, of course, but I've edited articles relating to politics before without receiving it. Just interested --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 16:39, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- This is not to give off the impression that you've done anything wrong so far. This is just a reminder that sanctions are active in a topic area you recently edited in. The Arbitration Committee requires we send these out so that editors are aware of the system in place. — Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 16:59, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Gotcha - just a little jarring as I hadn't gotten one before. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 17:00, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

February 2018 Edit Warring
[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly...Modernist (talk) 23:30, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:George Toe Washington.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:George Toe Washington.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
