Martin Indyk

[edit]

Re Martin Indyk. The question isn't only "is the source reliable?" For inclusion, the source has to be reliable and the text: (1) must be proportionate to the article scope, see WP:WEIGHT; (2) must give full context and must not omit important facts or limitations given by the sources, see WP:WEIGHT and WP:NPOV. For example, if the text is an opinion or accusation, couched in terms of limitation ("allegedly," "purportedly"), we have to attribute it ("X, citing Y, said Z") and do so directly, see WP:WEASEL. All of these concerns are triply important when dealing with negative innuendo (i.e., gossip) about living persons. Neutralitytalk 22:59, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
