Radio Stations

[edit]

Hi. I like the work you're doing adding Malaysian radio station articles. Could you also add to the bottom of each article the following text (simply copy and paste it as it appears below):

This will cause the articles to be placed in the category "Malaysian media" so that anyone browsing the category will be able to go to the relevant radio station article. Also try to create wikilinks to other articles by enclosing key words in double square brackets like so:

Melaka FM (formerly known as Radio Malaysia Melaka and Radio 3 Melaka) is
a regional radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia out of the Melaka
state capital of Melaka, Malaysia.

Which is rendered like so:

Melaka FM (formerly known as Radio Malaysia Melaka and Radio 3 Melaka) is
a regional radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia out of the Melaka
state capital of Melaka, Malaysia.

This allows readers to browse to other related topics of interest by clicking on the highlighted links.

Thank you for your efforts so far. Happy editing! Zunaid 11:13, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

 • No problem, glad to be of help. If you need any more help or hints feel free to drop another message on my talk page. It is pretty easy to learn how to use the wikimarkup to make lists and things and formatting text. The easiest way is just to visit a few of those links posted by Deckiller in your welcome message or to edit a page that has a particular type of formatting which will allow you to see how it is done.

One more tip...when posting comments on article or user talk pages please sign your name by typing four tildes like so:

~~~~
This is considered a common courtesy and will expand into your user name and the date like so: Zunaid 10:22, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, if you only want your user name to appear you can type three tildes: ~~~ Zunaid
Or if you only want the date to appear you can type FIVE tildes ~~~~~ 10:22, 29 December 2005 (UTC).
Manual of Style
[edit]
I just found this page in the Manual of Style relating to date and time formats: Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Time formatting, according to which time should be written as e.g. 06:00 instead of 06h00 or 0600hrs. Could you please change the articles you've created so far to reflect this? I don't have the energy to go around editing them myself ;) Zunaid 08:20, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
