Beijing Opera
[edit]Hi, you deleted the paragraph I added to Beijing opera about Beijing opera in film. May I ask why? It seems to me that content is relevant to the article.--Rataube 05:27, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

- You can report complex vandalism incidents at the Administrator's Incidents Noticeboard, located at WP:ANI. You'll need to provide specific diff links that help establish that this is the same user. Hope this helps. Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
China foreign relations templates
[edit]Agree these two should definitely be merged. I personally like {{China ties}} much better, since it's in a more standard format and is a footer instead of sidebar template (sidebar templates have a tendency to mess up article formatting, and they take up a lot of space that could be devoted to pictures, etc.) cab 23:51, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Pharmaceutical industry in China
[edit]Hi, I see that you added this section to the above article. I am wondering about the headings, whether some of the punctuation was left out. For instance, "Pharmacy enterprises national general agent sub wholesaler--retailers – patients." Should this read "Pharmacy enterprises - national general agent - sub wholesaler - retailers - patients"? Thanks for any help. Plinkit 15:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. I think it does mean that.
I think User:CommodiCast wrote it quite a long time ago. I tried to tidy the whole thing up a few days ago, I even changed the name from "Pharmceuticals in" to "Pharmaceutical industry in" - as you can see from the history. I also merged/put the contents of the articles "List of pharmaceutical companies in China" and "List of pharmaceutical regulatory agencies in China" into this one, as i was afraid a lot good information would've been lost (take a look at the talk page about the merger proposal which i thought was sloppily done by some people). I was going to further tidy, revamp and expand it myself at a later date but I see you have taken up the mantle, so that's good to see. Hadoooookin 15:43, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, good to know, and thanks for the info. Plinkit 15:51, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Your edits in the Culture of the People's Republic of China
[edit]Greetings! Hadoooookin! I noticed that you've some kind of edit war with User:Benjwong in that article. I just want to say that I hope you don't mind this user. I also noticed in some articles edited by him/her that this user has some kind of unexplained "hatred" towards mainland China, and it borderlines on a comic and childish level. I briefly looked at the above article you edited, most of the contents are pretty relevant. As for the contents Benjwong reverted, if you read scholarly journals or academic references about the literature in modern-day China, most of them would go back to the republican era and the imperial or ancient era, there is nothing really out-of-norm or POV about it. Take Encyclopædia Britannica for example, when it talks about Chinese literature, it goes through several specific periods (dynasties -> modern era). I just think Benjwong let his/her own bias get in the way of writing an encyclopedia entry--TheLeopard 21:49, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think in that particular case I learnt the hard way that one shouldn't take this site too seriously. I thought I could make him come round to at least normal ways of thinking. Benjwong's issue was that if pre-PRC literature was included it meant that the PRC government has somehow taken credit for its creation, which is completely absurd. I cannot hazard a guess how he has developed such a warped political view. Maybe it's a good thing he mainly limits himself to areas of Cantopop and other Hong Hong pop culture articles on Wikipedia. :D But, a comforting thought to take away from these kind of disputes is that anyone who really wants to "get into" a particular topic won't use this site or this site only due to is inherent limitations. For example, if someone really wanted to make a start on China's history they'd probably read China: A New History by JK Fairbank and Merle Goldman or any other standard entry-level text, not Wiki articles. At the end of the day people just use Wikipedia to gain a basic overview of something as a first pointof reference or use it to search for a specific factoid. Also for me I occassionally use it as a learning tool whenever I learn something new I write that on Wikipedia in order to consolidate my knowledge. Most likely I'll edit even less after I graduate, but I'm still optimistic to see the day when at least most of the core/vital articles are of FA standard. But who knows how long that will be. Library of Congress on Barefoot Doctors page
[edit]Hi, I am just curious, why did you insert the note on the Barefoot Doctors page that it contained material from the Library of Congress? One thing is whether we should do this at all, since it's PD and we don't need to cite it, however in this one I cannot see that there has been any - all the material was written by me based on original research, and despite a few additions of links, not much has been changed. Your contributions have all been removed by User:Coconut99 99. You may want to drop in and discuss things on the talk page. He was complaining that you didn't use any references. Maybe you could research some and restore the material? John Smith's (talk) 20:04, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Migration in China
[edit]Hello Hadoooookin,
I noticed that you added a substantial amount of new content to the article Migration in China, specifically in the History section. Unfortunately, most of this content is entirely unsourced, despite providing valuable information. Could you please add sources to the article for the content which you contributed? Otherwise, it will likely face deletion. Thank you! GavinCross (talk) 19:24, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
