November 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Albus Dumbledore appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Note, including criticism from reliable sources is perfectly acceptable within articles, you should not however try to alter articles to fit in with one, rather bigoted, point of view. October 2012

[edit]

Your recent editing history at Albus Dumbledore shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Meaningfully

[edit]

Hi there, the introduction of "meaningfully" in describing a look is interpretive, as the other editor noted. It's dubious whether or not a look needs to be included in a plot description, as it does little to explain the plot. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:18, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the idea behind having such categories, but I do not see them as possibly defining, so I have nominated these for deletion. Talk about Tia Dalma

Hi, why do you keep reverting my edits? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anger0104 (talkcontribs) 11:27, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay but I am trying to remove content that is both racist and sexist and is not addressed blatant discrimination. If you are so intent to keep that info in, then provide that context — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anger0104 (talkcontribs) 09:35, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • See WP:DISCL, the content is just the opinions of the critics on how the character is written. If you think it's "racist and sexist", your qualms should be with the movie's scriptwriter, not with the Wikipedia article. --HPfan4 (talk) 16:19, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My issue is that it is stated with no context and no reference to the bigotry in its statement, please try to contextualise the statements to give the readers all perspective or refrain from reverting further edits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 105.213.95.160 (talk) 13:54, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I pinged you in the discussion, but just wanted to make sure you were aware that I started a WP:NPOVN thread about our dispute.

Hello, I've deleted these categories you creataed under criterion for speedy deletion G4 as re-creations of previously deleted categories and protected them against further re-creation. The eccentrics category in particular is a potential biographies of living people nightmare. When you create a category, please check to see if it's been deleted beforehand, and do not create highly subjective categories. Graham87 16:52, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Fictional illeists indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 17:02, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
