Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/FORUM CLUB HANDBALL. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, or website etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> The Book of Chzz, Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat channel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Question for administrator

[edit]

Hello. I'm working as a freelancer for the sports organization Forum Club Handball (FCH) (www.forumclubhandball.com) FCH represents the interests of European Top Clubs in face of European Handball Federation (EHF), International Handball Federation (IHF) European Union and others. My job is to create an article (see below) about the FCH. On the German Wikipedia website already exist an article about the FCH which is the follower of the former organization Group Club Handball. My problem is that I don't have the time to read and follow all the instructions for creating an article. Can you please help me? Here is the article which is the same as on the German Wikipedia website:

Extended content

Forum Club Handball

Forum Club Handball (FCH) is the representation of Europeans Top Handball Clubs. The organization was incorporated as non-profit-organization (NPO) - German: eingetragener Verein - on 4th October 2011. The office of FCH is situated in Cologne/Germany. The predecessor Group Club Handball (GCH) was dissolved on 3rd October 2011.

FCH represents the interests of European Top Clubs in face of European Handball Federation (EHF), International Handball Federation (IHF) European Union and others.

European Top Clubs are the top 24 teams of the EHF Champions League the top 32 teams of the EHF Cup the top 16 teams of the Challenge Cup and all National Champions.

President of FCH is Tomasz Jersic (Celje/Slovenia), the two Vice-Presidents are Joan Marin (Madrid/Spain) and Dierk Schmäschke (Flensburg/Germany) and the two further board members are Jens Boesen (Kolding/Denmark) and Bertus Servaas Kielce/Poland. The Managing Director of FCH is Gerd Butzeck.

The highest body of FCH is the General Assembly, which gathers usually twice a year. The first assembly takes place on the final weekend of the European or World Championship, the second at the weekend of the EHF Champions League Final Four Tournament. The General Assembly determines the guidelines of the policy of FCH. Champions League clubs have 3 voting rights, EHF Cup clubs have two voting rights, all other clubs do have one vote. Elections are carried out once in two years.

During the General Assemblies the business is determined by the 5 board members. They are elected according to the ranking of European Handball Clubs. Every one of them has a deputy. The nations ranked 1 delegates one board member, the nation ranked 2 delegates one board member, the nations ranked 3-6 delegate one board member, the nations ranked 6-12 delegate one board member and the nations ranked 13-50 delegate one board member.

The General Assembly elects the club representatives for the various bodies of EHF (Professional Handball Board (PHB)) and EHFM (Club Marketing Board (CMB)).

Hi HO72. There are a couple of issues to cover here; I'll try to be brief. Firstly, it's important to note that the English and German Wikipedia's are separate projects, with different rules governing content and user conduct. As a result, subjects that may be suitable for inclusion on the German version of Wikipedia may not meet the English Wikipedia's requirements. Here, the benchmark for inclusion is extensive coverage in multiple, reliable, independent sources - having had a cursory search I can find no such sources that discuss Forum Club Handball, which suggests that the English Wikipedia would not support an article on the topic. To write such an article, you would first need to provide such sources (articles in nationally syndicated newspapers or magazines, TV or radio coverage, passages in books about handball that cover FCH etc.).
Secondly, the English Wikipedia guidelines strongly discourage editors with a conflict of interest from writing about topics with which they are affiliated. Since you are currently working for FCH - indeed, since you have actually been employed to write a Wikipedia article about them - you have a very clear conflict of interest with Wikipedia in this matter. Whilst you are not forbidden from writing such an article outright (at least at the moment, the issue of paid editing is currently being discussed in a number of places on Wikipedia), you would need to adhere very carefully to the best practice guideline - I'm afraid that, whether you have the time or not, you are going to need to read the policies on article creation very carefully before even attempting to write about FCH. Hello HO72. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Forum Club Handball".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Forum Club Handball}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 14:46, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
