Thanks for pointing this out, I think I may have chosen uw-1 by accident here. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 05:29, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

UAlbany

Regarding the reversion you made to the University at Albany page - you are using massively outdated and incorrect information. UAlbany doesn't have a "headmaster" - it has a President who is listed (correctly) as Havidan Rodriguez. The information you restored was of "Robert Jones" who left UAlbany eight years ago.

In addition the financial information regarding UAlbany's foundation is also eight years out-of-date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.226.135.72 (talk) 19:55, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up - though it may be worth citing the page with an updated source (for which the university's website should be fine). lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 17:20, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

Another user "Favonian" went back and reverted to the older version with the "Headmaster" reference. I would again suggest my edits which removes outdated information and the erroneous reference to "Headmaster". Jones is listed correctly as a past president of the university in another section of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.226.135.72 (talk) 14:13, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello again. You've already described why you removed portions of the article - the initial issue with your edit is that you have not been using edit summaries to describe your removal of content. The problem with this is that removing large amounts of content from articles can come across as disruptive when no explanation is given. For future reference, you should provide a summary of the changes you've made, e.g. "Updating university president - UAlbany does not have a 'headmaster'". lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 17:19, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

Poor writing on this page, inaccurate, and bias. Please delete or do the research and edit appropriately. PhoenixHouston (talk) 04:31, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

@PhoenixHouston: Consider starting a discussion at the talk page - and if you wish to add verifiable information yourself, you will need to be able to come up with a reliable source. If you need help citing a reference, have a look at this. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 00:24, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
Also please note that you will need to start using edit summaries, particularly when removing whole sections of any article - unexplained removals can be seen as disruptive. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 00:27, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

Ancient Grains

Hi, I attempted to edit a portion of the article in Ancient Grains where it mentions northern Israel as the place where an old type of grain grows, but my edit has been quickly reverted. I'm here to argue for the validity of my edits.

Having it being called Israel is an inaccurate statement as the land has been historically acknowledged as Palestine and it just contains the state of Israel. I'm sure you're no stranger to the news, but it's become more and more apparent that Israel is a settler colony, less than a 100 years old, and has been engaged in acts of violence and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians since its inception. Wild cereals, on the other hand, are a historical part of the natural land. As such, I believe it's more accurate to refer to the region as Palestine, and to make subsequent edits to other articles that refer to the land as Israel such as Cereal.

This is rectifying a part of history that has been taken away from a nation (just like the marginalization of Aboriginals in North America, Australia, and the apartheid in South Africa). I hope we can come to an understanding regarding that. Thank you. MonteCristoHakushaku (talk) 03:44, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

@MonteCristoHakushaku: Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm afraid Wikipedia is not the venue to right great wrongs - we can only report on what has been verified on reliable sources. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 16:36, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

Edit summary at Wikipedia:Summary style

Could you please clarify what you meant by "NPOV: WP:FRINGE" in the edit summary of your edit of the page Wikipedia:Summary style? —andrybak (talk) 13:21, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

That was my mistake - I wanted to warn the IP for an unexplained content removal but accidentally picked a fringe warning instead. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 03:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Have a look at this guide to writing your first article. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 17:09, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
Thank you so much. Help me with a draft ""Draft: Bang Chan". This draft got declined. Can you please look at the draft and tell me how can I improve the draft so that it get accepted? RDWolfgang (talk) 14:46, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
Hi again. I just had a look at your draft, and it hasn't yet been submitted through the Articles for creation process. In order to get the article accepted, however, I would advise looking for other sources other than YouTube; ideally a news article. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 01:44, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
