[edit]Hello, I'm Pablomartinez. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Social media marketing— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Hi Pablomartinez, thanks for letting me know. I was just about to correct my unconstructive citation on the new content I am going to add on Social media marketing. I think if explain the meaning of social media platform will be helpful for other readers to understand your following content. I have solved the problem. So if you think it's okay to add that part, I would like to add the explanation. Thank you! H0187160 (talk) 20:42, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Pablomartinez, I was wondering if you could give a more in-depth explanation of why the content was removed. Also, H0187160 was under the impression that he was banned from editing the page and it doesn't look like he is, so I wanted to reassure him on that end as well. As far as I can tell, the two main issues was that the source didn't have the ref tags added to it and the last sentence he added could be seen as original research. H0187160, this sentence comes across as a conclusion you came up with based on your own research, so a good idea would be to either rewrite the sentence or just leave it out of the content entirely. Always be careful about how you write things, as you don't want your content to be seen as too casually written or come across as original research.
- If classified social media platforms by purpose and function, the categories are social networking, microblogging, blogging photo sharing, video sharing, crowdsourcing, and tools for managing multiple social media platforms.
- However before you work on re-writing or trying to fix any content that was removed, it's always a good idea to try to talk things out on either the article's talk page or a user talk page (ie, yours or the other editor's). Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:09, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Shalor (Wiki Ed), really appreciate for your help and advice. I found that Social media marketing is semi-protected for only autoconfirmed users can edit it. That might be the reason I am not qualified. Sorry for any misunderstanding I may cause. And I will definitely leave a messages on the talkpage of articles or users before I edit in the future. - You're auto-confirmed, so you should be able to edit it. Are you seeing any specific note when you try to edit other than the semi-confirmed one? Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:28, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
