Speedy deletion of "The Professionals (hip-hop)"
[edit]A page you created, The Professionals (hip-hop), has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

If you use the {{hangon}} template on an article not listed for speedy deletion, that automatically lists it. I don't think you want that. --Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 18:52, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- I am so utterly confused as to what I need to do. Please just show me what I need to keep this on Wikipedia. This page is only for the hip-hop group The Professionals. We are not infringing on anyone's copyrights and we are not planning to kill anyone or have any intentions for world domination. We just want to develop a page for this group.Gwesley2 (talk) 19:24, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Right now, the article is not listed for deletion, so you don't need to worry about anything. I did list the article for speedy deletion at first, but the concerns that made me do that have been resolved by further edits by you, so I withdrew. That's when I removed your first hangon template as well, which no longer served any purpose. However, I still think the notability of the group is not properly shown in the article, but not to the point where deletion should be considered, even through a process that involves discussion (such as Articles for Deletion).
Someone else might disagree with me, though, so your article needs sources. Rumors do not make an adequate article, so they should not be mentioned unless you can come up with a reliable source that makes it clear it's more than just a rumor.
For the technicalities of inline citations (which are strongly recommended), please consult How to cite sources. If you have further questions, you may ask them to an administrator. --Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 19:40, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks! I just want to make sure that everything is legit for this page and that it wont be taken down. I've worked way too hard already. Gwesley2 (talk) 03:16, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Question: How do I make The Professionals appear when someone searches for the group under the title "The Professionals"? Gwesley2 (talk) 03:37, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- That MAY be more of an art than a science. First, I would put a link to The Professionals (hip-hop) on the The Professionals page. The search algorithm is completely automatic and I have no idea how it works exactly. mboverload@ 03:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! Is there anywere in particular I should put it? Should it just be in the external links, or somewhere near the top of the page? By the way, do you see anything on the page that would lead to its deletion? Gwesley2 (talk) 03:51, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cd cover small.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Cd cover small.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I really don't understand all of this and I've tried to be patient.
