Gwent

[edit]

As far as I know, Gwent did exist, covering much of southeast Wales, between 1972 and 1996. So I'd recommend you check the chronology of the subject before making mass edits to lots of articles. It will save everyone a lot of time. Sionk (talk) 17:21, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mind you, the vast majority of your edits look quite acceptable, it was just the couple that happened to be on my 'watchlist' which seemed questionable. All the best! Sionk (talk) 17:34, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kosack. I noticed that you recently removed content from Newport County A.F.C. without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. In this edit you changed the origin of Clwydfardd's bardic name from Clwyd to River Clwyd. Did you do this with a knowledge of the poet's biography, or simply on the basis that the county of Clwyd did not exist when he was alive? I suspect that 'Clwyd' has a long history as the name of an area, possibly just the Vale of Clwyd and the Clwydian Range. Dyffryn Clwyd was a medieval cantref, see Dyffryn Clwyd. I propose to change the link to Vale of Clwyd, unless you are confident that the river was the origin of the bardic name. Verbcatcher (talk) 19:07, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Daniel Parslow, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary.
