Wikipedia Asian Month is COMING!
[edit]Hi Guramandeep ,
The Wikipedia Asian Month will begin in less than an hours, and once again, thank you for signing up! Let's help the world know more about Asia! Below are a few reminders for you:
- Please check out the rules here. Some rules have been adjusted—the most important being that on the English Wikipedia, stubs may be expanded with some limitations.
- Do take the time to read the Q&A if you have any questions, or ask on the talk page.
- The list of participants has been alphabetized so you can more easily find your name and report your contributions.
- There is a template that you can use on your user page. {{Template:User Asian Month}}
Enjoy the Wikipedia Asian Month :) --AddisWang (talk)

Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia Asian Month!
[edit]Hi there! Wikipedia Asian Month is about to start. Here is some information about participating in the event:
- Please submit your articles via this tool. Click 'log in' at the top-right and OAuth will take care the rest. You can also change the interface language at the top-right.
- Once you submit an article, the tool will add a template to the article and mark it as needing review by an organizer. You can check your progress using the tool, which includes how many accepted articles you have.
- Participants who achieve 4 accepted articles will receive a Wikipedia Asian Month postcard. You will receive another special postcard if you achieve 15 accepted articles. The Wikipedian with the highest number of accepted articles on the English Wikipedia will be honored as a "Wikipedia Asian Ambassador", and will receive a signed certificate and additional postcard.
- If you have any problems accessing or using the tool, you can submit your articles at this page next to your username.
- If you have any question, you can take a look at our Q&A or post on the WAM talk page.
Best Wishes, Addis Wang

Turkish military intervention in Syria
[edit]Replaced it because the AP source provided the overall death toll of Turkish forces in Syria, which now stands at 37 (as per the AP source). This was the figure we were citing in the infobox. The Anadolu source only reported on the 16 deaths in the last 24 hours. PS I just used your source for the Turkish claim on the overall number of SDF/YPG dead. Wikipedia Asian Month 2017: Invitation to Participate
[edit]Hello! Last year, you signed up to participate in Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM) 2016 on the English Wikipedia. The event was an international success, with hundreds of editors creating thousands of articles on Asian topics across dozens of different language versions of Wikipedia.
I'd like to invite you to join us for Wikipedia Asian Month 2017, which once again lasts through the month of November. The goal is for users to create new articles on Asian-related content, each at least 3,000 bytes and 300 words in length. Editors who create at least four articles will receive a Wikipedia Asian Month postcard!
Also be sure to check out the Wikipedia Asian Art Month affiliate event - creating articles on Asian art topics can get you a Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard!
If you're interested, please sign up here for the English Wikipedia. If you are interested in also working on other language editions of Wikipedia, please visit the meta page to see other participating projects. If you have any questions, please visit our talk page.
Thank you!
- User:SuperHamster and User:Titodutta on behalf of The English Wikipedia WAM Team
This will be the last message you receive from the English Wikipedia WAM team for being a 2016 participant. If you sign up for WAM 2017, you will continue receiving periodic updates on the 2017 event.
No. 21 Squadron IAF
[edit]Hello, I saw you edit 1 and 2 on No. 21 Squadron IAF. While your edits are welcome, they are against the wikipedia content policy as per Wikipedia:No original research, which states The prohibition against OR means that all material added to articles must be attributable to a reliable, published source, even if not actually attributed. For now, I have placed a 'citation needed' tag, please replace that tag with a reliable source if you can find one. Thanks. Sarvatra (talk) 06:43, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
Further Update: Hello, I found two references 1 & 2 stating that Su-30MKI are indeed based at Sirsa AFS since December 2012, but they form No. 15 squadron. And I have thus updated the article No. 15 Squadron IAF based on these references.
As I can see, you made a total of five edits on No. 21 Squadron IAF - 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (of which 2 and 3 were minor edits), I assume that it was the satellite imagery which inspired you to make those edits on No. 21 Squadron IAF. I understand you have good faith behind those edits, but please do a little bit of research before removing such information in future.
So, to conclude, yes you were right that Su-30MKIs are based at Sirsa AFS, but as you can see from the references I mentioned, those aircraft form No. 15 Squadron. Thus, I have updated information on No. 15 Squadron IAF. And I would also be reverting your edits on No. 21 Squadron IAF. Thanks. Sarvatra (talk) 09:04, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
