South Asian river dolphin
[edit]Your edits to change the range of the South Asian river dolphin have been reverted for the following reasons:
- Most importantly, the bio-geographic range in which the South Asian river dolphin occurs is the Indian subcontinent (not "South Asia"). We use bio-geographic descriptors over political boundaries for flora and fauna distribution as they are more appropriate to the subject.
- "South Asia" is not defined to an agreed area and is larger in scope than "Indian subcontinent"
- The four countries are already listed in the lede
- South Asia can also be inferred by the title of the article
You have now reverted these changes three times within a 24hr period. Please read WP:3RR to avoid starting an edit war (WP:EW). If you still wish to propose a change to this article, please post your suggestion on the article talkpage. This would follow the Bold-Revert-Discuss cycle (WP:BRD) that is used for contentious changes. Please do not be disheartened that your first registered edits were reverted and please continue to contribute to Wikipedia. Loopy30 (talk) 22:36, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
