My concern about your username (GumballMod)

[edit]

Hello, GumballMod, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

I can discuss it here, I don't mind changing my name. Is this the reason that the changes I made on the page got changed back again?

Hi

Basically I work at Gumball, I noticed that 'race' was mentioned a lot throughout the Gumball 3000 page. Gumball is not a 'race' its a 'rally.' The content that I deleted was to do with winners of the Gumball. There aren't any winners any year because its not a race, we do not time the event, Alex Roy has never won the Gumball rally.

I would really appreciate it if I could make these changes as it gives the wrong impression about the event.

You need to take a look at our conflict of interest guidelines and also be aware that we don't permit role accounts, i.e. your account should be used by you and only you. I've tidied up some of the race/rally anomolies and clarified the "winner" as winner of the spirit of gumball trophy. Given the potential conflict of interest it is probably best to raise any concerns you have with sections of the article on the talk page of the article here. --pgk 18:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
