[edit]Hello - apologies for not writing a reason. I removed the citation because "the insurrectionary messages of the speakers was dissonant with the relative amenities of the sports venue" doesn't make sense - why are amenities of a sports venue dissonant with insurrectionary messages? Would it have been more appropriate if the bathrooms didn't work or something? If you're simply saying that it was unusual that it was held in a stadium instead of in the streets, for example, it can simply state that, otherwise it sounds too much like a judgement to me. Unfortunately I can't access your source to see what the context is. Thanks! 23.240.237.28 (talk) 00:45, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Clarification for citation removal
[edit]Hi Guitarist28,
I removed a citation that you reverted because it was for a journal article published a month ago that is not prevalent in the field. Moreover, the citation was added by an author of the article itself (based on his username) and appears to be an attempt to publicize his own work. I looked into the article and it has no citations and I can't find any information about the authors being reputable academics in the field. I work in the field and have never seen reference to this article as a source for the cited information. If this is improper removal of a citation please let me know, it was based on my personal judgement of the situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.198.30.232 (talk) 00:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 15
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Buckethead, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Line 6 and Roger Mayer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You might want to withdraw your AfD nomination. Jerod Lycett (talk) 11:54, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Jerodlycett: Why do you say that? The subject of the article appears to fail notability standards. I mean, why a whole article for one sentence about a man that ran a marathon and did not even win? It just is not that notable. Thanks. --Guitarist28 (talk) 12:08, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's not the size of the article that matters, however as stated in the AfD Masini meets WP:NOLYMPICS which states: Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the modern Olympic Games, including the Summer Olympics (since 1896) or the Winter Olympics (since 1924). He competed, he's notable. Jerod Lycett (talk) 12:12, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
==Nick Cannon "vandalism" Quit spamming my inbox. My requested change was not vandalism, but in fact a comment on how the locked page should be changed to better describe Nick Cannon's racist, anti-White statements. If you disagree, feel free to explain why there. 66.141.235.58 (talk) 13:46, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- I checked your talk page, and I looked at the diff, and it is vandalism. And now you will be reported to an Administrator. --Guitarist28 (talk) 13:49, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Block
[edit]@ST47: Why did you guys block me again? I really want to come back to wikipedia, and I did not even do anything wrong this time? Please tell me what is going on? --Guitarist28 (talk) 16:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- Guitarist28, the correct method for returning would be via appealing the block on your original account, rather than via making a sock. Ed6767 talk! 16:06, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- @ST47 and Ed6767: I can't edit my talkpage with Wyatt2049. And I looked at socks of me, and some long name is not my account at all. I do not know what to do, and I really want to edit constructively and become an admin at some point. --Guitarist28 (talk) 16:09, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- Guitarist28, and you didn't consider using WP:UTRS? If you've engaged in sockpuppetry, your future RfAs would be greatly affected. Your comments over at User talk:TFFfan are concerning too. Ed6767 talk! 16:18, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- @ST47 and Ed6767: How did you find out that I am also Wyatt2049 again? --Guitarist28 (talk) 16:13, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- Because they're a WP:Checkuser. Read that page, and request unblock again, in the following format:

And @ST47 and Ed6767: All too often I feel like admins refuse to give users second chances. This time, I wish that you would please give in and give this user a chance. Run a checkuser investigation on me; I'm not a sock of Wyatt2049! The only thing I can admit to is being 2601:18e:c400:a020:d4bc:ac8f:3356:2fc1, 2601:18e:c400:a020:1c58:7b0e:b936:db3c, 2601:18e:c400:a020:905f:dcec:83d4:c2ba, and 2601:18e:c400:a020:5983:ec96:3d71:71b7. But don't block me, I've learned my lesson from L235... Anyway, would you please give this user a second chance? Remember, they're no different than you! They want to build an encyclopedia; a quick look at their vandalism-reverting contributions demonstrates that they're here in good faith. - Chicdat, read Wikipedia:Sock puppetry - "Misuse of multiple accounts is a serious breach of community trust. It may lead to a block of all affected accounts" - from what I can tell at WP:BADSOCK too, these violations occurred:
-
- Misusing a clean start: By switching accounts or concealing a clean start in a way that avoids scrutiny is considered a breach of this policy; see Wikipedia:Clean start.
-
- Evasion of sanctions: Sanctions apply to individual editors as people, not to accounts. Using a second account to edit in violation of an active block or community sanction will result in further sanctions, which may include the removal of your contributions. See also Wikipedia:Blocking policy § Evasion and enforcement.
- I am very happy for the user to appeal at WP:UTRS, however, this is a case of WP:LTA. Also, your message here is slightly a WP:OUCH.
