- That's pretty much my thought...this whole "Wikipedia is broken" or "Wikipedia is failing" meme that permeates this discussion is in major need of a
{{fact}}tag. I would fully support a project to try to address (in a systematic fashion) the question of "what's wrong with Wikipedia?" But the plural of anecdotes isn't data. Trying to solve "the problem" without first determining whether there's a problem and what that problem/those problems may be is worthy of a centrally planned state or a major corporation. And since the current "elite group" hasn't yet figured that out, it's pretty safe to say that they aren't the right people for the job. This is as pointless as Kelly Martin's elite group to shape policy.
