Thanks
Thanks for the note. Doing my best to learn the tech markups and contribute consistent reliable information. I reckon its always the first project is the hardest and I can apply the lessons to subsequent updates Hunterscarlett (talk) 00:07, 01 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ya, The markup has to be the worst part of the learning curve. Would you like me to show you how to make a sandbox (I know the name sounds odd) where you can test edit without and fear of being reverted. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 00:14, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I reckon the Sandbox will be pretty useful if I can get more ambitious with layouts and the like. Wait till I try some translations - that is a whole new can of challenges.Hunterscarlett (talk) 00:07, 01 February 2011 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.

Removal of Google Book links
I see you are shortening the references ([1]). I am fine with shortening in general, as long as we preserve the full cite book template in the references/cited works section, but I would like to ask that you revise your method of shortening to leave the page links. I think I've already reverted some of your shortened links few hours ago to restore the page links... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 22:09, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- So you are saying do not switch things over to Harvard styling, even though its cleaner? The page number should allow people to go to an exact spot in a google book. Using {{cite book}} over and over again looks bad. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 22:13, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- We can use Harvard style, updated with a direct hyperlink. If you remove page numbers, readers have to navigate GBooks themselves, and note that GBooks do not have (currently) good page control for non-PD content. "Shils 18" is much more useful than "Shils 18". Could you restore those links? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 22:23, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- I will see what I can do. --Guerillero | My Talk 22:25, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Re: Time Capsule
Hey Guerillero. While I appreciate your nomination, I had already nominated Time Capsule for DYK a few days ago. (It's listed under February 3.) I didn't remove yours from DYK because I figured you should be the one who did it, but you probably should as it can't be nominated twice. If you like your lead better than mine though, feel free to suggest it as an ALT under my nomination. Sorry about the confusion, and thanks again! — Hunter Kahn 13:44, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Karkadann at DYK
Hey Karkadann, I expanded the article and left a note at DYK. PS, I review a lot of the submissions there and copyedit the articles, so I didn't list any specific ones. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 19:11, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- After looking at the shear number of DYKs you have done I figured that. I will go look. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 19:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I appreciate your help and your math skills. ;) Drmies (talk) 19:17, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, can you have one more look? I lengthened the hook (I hope it's not too long) with info based on sources not necessary for the first hook. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 19:31, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Request to mentor a student
Hi Guerillero, I'm a Campus Ambassador in the Public Policy Initiative and found your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Public Policy/Online Ambassadors and was wondering whether you'd be up for mentoring User:hrdsfsu, one of the students for Prof Gen's Environmental Policy class. I'll watch this page. Thanks! Dcoetzee 22:19, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- What sort of pages will this class be editing, I don't want to be over my head. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 22:43, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- Classes related to environmental policy, e.g. water pollution, waste management, that kind of thing (but probably more specific). Nobody working with the students is a topic matter expert except their professor, but if you'd like to pass on this one please just let me know and I'll grab another mentor. :-) Dcoetzee 00:39, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds fun and tempting. I will do it. Now I need to decide if I want to take on 2 or 3 people. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 04:15, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Great! Please just go ahead and leavea a message on their talk page and add the {{WAP student}} template, something like this: {{WAP student|project=WikiProject United States Public Policy|course=Wikipedia:WikiProject_United_States_Public_Policy/Courses/Environmental_Policy_spring_2011_(Gen)|coursetalk=Wikipedia talk:WikiProject_United_States_Public_Policy/Courses/Environmental_Policy_spring_2011_(Gen)|mentor=Guerillero}}. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your help! Dcoetzee 00:40, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Thulani Hlatswayo
Hello Guerillero,
I noticed you have flagged my article relating to Thulani Hlatswayo, a South African nation Football player and young star playing for Ajax Cape Town in South Africa.
I am not sure why you want to remove the article I have written. I have cited all sources of the information, and feel that Thulani Hlatswayo is worthy of a page on wikipedia, as is the case with any other professional athlete on the site. None of the information I have written is uncertain, if a fact was unknown such has his place of birth, I have left out the information for the time being. I have also left out the amount of goals he has scored, and how many appearances he has made for each team, because I am not certain of these matters either. ALthough I know he scored for both Ajax Cape Town and the South African national U17, U20 and U23 teams. I am new to wikipedia and have no qualms with correcting any errors I may have made in the process.
I followed the guidelines, and if there is anything that you see missing please feel free to tell me how I can enhance the article, and how to improve my wiki skills rather than flagging it for deletion. As if the time I spent to write the article, isn't worth the 2 minutes it would take you to point out my mistakes. I am still working on it, and am working through the citation process at the moment, and would appreciate the help, rather than you deleting my efforts. Thanks in advance for the help.
kind regards,

Hey I did not remove the speedy removal tab this time, even though I would like to dispute it, I don't see why it should be removed, the information listed there is all correct.
thanks in advance for the help
cheers,

I removed it. He is up to the notably standards for football athletes. I added a source so the article should stick cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 03:31, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
thank you
i am going to make a few more edits to try and improve the article some more, and figure out how you cited the source, I am still working on that, but I would like to cite my other sources for this article as well. Thanks again for the help.
best,

I greatly appreciate your thoughtful edits...
I am about to run out the door but am honored by your participation.
Not sure exactly what it means but please do proceed with your proposal, nomination or idea. It would probably benefit Wikipedia, the homeless/houseless and the universe of compassionate vibration to have the DYK mention please yes do so!
Wonder what your major is? You could do anything, IMHO. Brothercanyouspareadime (talk) 23:32, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Time Capsule (Parks and Recreation)
On 15 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Time Capsule (Parks and Recreation), which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that Saturday Night Live comedian Will Forte played a man obsessed with the Twilight series in "Time Capsule", an episode of the NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation? If you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

DYK for Tradition
On 17 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Tradition, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that scholars estimate that it takes two or three generations for a tradition to emerge? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Thanks for helping out.
I guess everyone is used to the formatting according to the default.
I thought it looked better not to have the topmost section categories be less bold than the subordinate categories.
But there is at least a line across the page for the pure topmost sections.
If that is the way everybody is used to it I will accept.
I take it from your comment that you will be doing some citation hunting if you can find stuff in New Zealand Canada and in other places where you can read the language, s'vous plait, muchas gracias, danke, domo arigato.Brothercanyouspareadime (talk) 01:13, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- I will see what I can do. The WP:MOS isn't for putting extra bolding on headings... --Guerillero | My Talk 01:29, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Warming center
On 20 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Warming center, which you recently nominated. Mentoring students: be sure to check in on them
This message is going out to all of the Online Ambassadors who are, or will be, serving as mentors this term.
Hi there! This is just a friendly reminder to check in on what your mentees are doing. If they've started making edits, take a look and help them out or do some example fixes for them, if they need it. And if they are doing good, let them know it!
If you aren't mentoring anyone yet, it looks like you will be soon; at least one large class is asking us to assign mentors for them, and students in a number of others haven't yet gotten to asking ambassadors to be their mentors, but may soon. --Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 20:06, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Peer review on SH article
Hi Guerillero, the article has been peer reviewed by Finetooth. You might like to close the discussion? After we have addressed their comments I think we could take it to FAC, although right now I don't have time to spend on such a process so we will have to wait a while before nominating it. Speedy deletion declined: Viacheslav Dinerchtein
Hello Guerillero. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Viacheslav Dinerchtein, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 08:58, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Revise the Glitter Soundtrack article to accurately reflect its reception!
The article is written to make it seem as if it was a terrible failure. You cannot call one artist's album of 700k sales a success, yet call another artist's platinum album a failure. That's unfair. FIX YOUR WORDS. You are misleading the readers! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.28.166.172 (talk) 07:02, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- A few things
- Please don't yell on my talk page
- The burden of proof is on you to find a reliable source to back up your point of view.
- The article is a fairly well sourced B class article. Becauae it is semi credible I fall with the original text.
