Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Sicilian Americans are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages.
I understand that you added your personal opinion in good faith, but if you have reliable sources to back up your personal contention start up a new thread (instead of tacking in onto a nondescript thread years old), and bring your sources to the new thread.

Re: Lil Peep

[edit]

Well, a Twitter post isn't really ideal as a source - in general, Twitter is not a WP:RS, and if Peep himself claimed it, we would need to treat that as we would any WP:SELFPUB. I think if a good source is found to substantiate his ethnicity, and the assertion that he held a valid Swedish passport, then that's all information that makes sense to include in the "Early Life" section, where heritage is typically addressed. He's clearly not Swedish by nationality (even if he is Swedish by ethnicity and may have held Swedish citizenship), since he was born in and lived in the United States his entire life. That distinction should be clear in the article. Chubbles (talk) 20:07, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
