One round

[edit]

I feel that making the Cup one 3-month round turns it from a GA Cup to just a backlog drive. If the goal is to a) let people join partway through and b) not eliminate people partway through, causing them to stop reviewing, then perhaps what should be done instead is to keep the cup as-is (4 months, or 3 months as you propose) and then not eliminate people between rounds- just have 3/4 rounds of all participants, awarding winners and resetting points after each round, and then awarding overall winners at the end. It keeps the competitive atmosphere- competing to win the first round, but then instead of dropping out if you lose, you can compete to win round 2, and you're still in the running for overall winners. --PresN 15:48, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree with PresN above and as he said I believe it should stay a "Cup" not a backlog drive! Your ideas, Grondemar, have been very creative! However, PresN's suggested ideas maintain more of a competitive atmosphere. Thank you for your proposal. MrWooHoo (talk) 23:47, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
