Thanks for uploading Image:Aretha Franklin - Aretha Now.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Help finding that BDSM collar

I'm very impressed with your collar photos. Could you perhaps direct me as to how I could get a matching collar for myself? —Preceding unsigned comment added by GSeg (talkcontribs) 23:50, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

It's been a while, so I don't know where that one came from, but you should be able to find one at any nearby fetish store. If you don't have one, I'd suggest looking on eBay; they sell that sort of thing. Good luck! grendel|khan 15:55, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Updating software version is not a minor edit

Please note that updating the version of a software product, as you did for poppler, does not constitute a minor edit. Thanks, VasileGaburici (talk) 21:07, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Good point. I'll try to remember that. grendel|khan 13:10, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TRCC-CT-logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:TRCC-CT-logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

This happened because Alone (Warmen song) was merged into Alone (Heart song) without importing the infobox. I've dropped the infobox into the new article. [2] grendel|khan 16:31, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Grendelkhan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 271 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Yury Grigorovich - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Fair use rationale for File:Jill of the Jungle.screenshot.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Jill of the Jungle.screenshot.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 21:58, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

File:Montserrat sm03.png needs authorship information

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Montserrat sm03.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Grendelkhan/Archive4}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:48, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
