Hey there. Just came across this article; I see it's come from a press release; Wikipedia requires that its content be encyclopedic and written in a neutral, non-promotional manner. This article as it stands is quite promotional, and needs a lot of work, as well as verifiable, non-trivial reliable sources to make it stand for any length of time. It looks like there are some sources out there, so you might want to grab a few of those (like this and this as starters) and rewrite it to remove the POV problems. The band seems to meet the music guidelines, so that's good - but the article definitely needs to be rewritten. If it stays as a copy of the press release, it's likely to be deleted. Got your response. Do get onto a rewrite pretty fast, if you can, as someone else may come across it beforehand and be somewhat less patient with it... Cheers! Tony Fox (arf!) 02:43, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of "Cybergear"

[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Cybergear, has been proposed for the following reason:

Not encyclopedic.

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
