A tag has been placed on Untitled Avril Lavigne Fourth Studio Album, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Untitled Avril Lavigne Fourth Studio Album, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 23:55, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Untitled Avril Lavigne Album, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Untitled Avril Lavigne Album. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. \ Backslash Forwardslash / {talk} 00:53, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Banaroo-uh mamma s.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILY (TALK) 21:48, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fly Away (Banaroo album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Untitled Avril Lavigne Album. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Franky live.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Franky live.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:16, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to I Came 2 Party. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Do not add info where the sources don't support it. Wavin' Flag ("Alice")

[edit]

Hi Greeneyed soul, thanks for updating Wavin' Flag with a good reference that mentions Lavigne. I do disagree that the song should be mentioned in the infobox because it is a single, but not Lavigne's single; all she did was participate in someone else's song. Instead, the information should be mentioned on the Avril Lavigne article (in the most recent section) and removed entirely from the "Alice" article. Technically, Lavigne's single after "Alice" will most likely be the first single off her fourth album. What do you think? – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 01:29, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I hadn't looked closely enough at the links (both internal and external), so I went ahead and removed the information from the "Alice" page. The Wavin' Flag article proves the single belongs to K'naan, not Lavigne. And unfortunately, the reference you provided is a blog, which is not allowed as a reliable source on Wikipedia (WP:RELIABLE). Still, you can probably find information by searching for it since the information is probably valid. Again, though, I would include the information on the Avril Lavigne article. Thanks! – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 01:40, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Essential Mixes (Avril Lavigne album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This album appears to not be an official release by Avril Lavigne. Her website and her record label (RCA) don't mention it at all. In fact, the Sony CMG website has recently removed it from their own website. The ONLY place this cd can be found seems to be amazon.co.uk . Whether it's a real album or not, it is clearly not notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ [ Scott M.
